ok, central heating, I get it, so I was talking about anything that’s in a room and produces heat

our central heating devices in Iceland are heated by hot water

so my advice was put a bowl or an ice-cube box half filled with water on a heat recource to produce moist in the room

Haha…I forget words all the time! We’ve got electric baseboard heaters. They’re ok. 🙂

I HATE them. They said that might have been the cause for my house burning down in 1988, they never seemed to work very well either at least not to me
I’m not a great speller so I don’t even need to go there!!
I have central heat and air now in my condo. I really like it

            I´m like sooooo embarrased 😳

I’m on an english speaking forum, and I don’t even know all the words

You shouldn’t worry…even regionally we use different words to mean the same thing. soda vs. pop, bag vs. sack…there are tons of examples.

and purplecat, I hope everything is just fine by now…

Well, they’re not really what I would choose for heat but they’re what came with the house *shrugs*. I’m pretty vigilant about making sure nothing gets left up against them in the winter, I’ve worried about them as a fire hazard myself.

Purplecat, so scary! There is no fear like a mom’s fear for her kids. I hope the vaporizer works. And it’s a mom’s job to be hard on the doctors that don’t want to spend time or take us seriously. I went through 7 pediatricians before finding one I trust and who listens. Now he’s moved twice and we keep following him (though he gets further away each time).
(I know the crisis seems to be over now, but I’m just now catching up on all these posts, and wanted you to know I sympathesize!)
