I was taking pictures this afternoon of the birds at my feeders and trees and I thought this one was funny…LOL
It would be great if someone could comme up with something to write with this picture…like the caturday stuff
“Guys… guys, I’m stuck here! Why did you tell me to put my tongue on the frozen metal?”
Incidentally, I also had a bunch of goldfinches on my feeder today!

I wish I could see the redpolls again, I really miss those. 🙁
Something out of A Christmas Story would be great. It reminds me of the double-dog-dare-you scene, where that kid gets his tongue frozen to the flagpole.
To me, it looks like the top finch is hollering down to the bottom finch through the feeder. Is the bird’s tongue actually stuck?

No his thongue is not stuck but he just happen to stick it out at the right moment I was pressing on the chutter button. XDHehe, cute pic. My first thought was along the lines of having its tongue stuck too, with the snow on the ground and all (and his positioning, which looks a bit like he’s trying to pull away). Which, I must say, is really an unpleasant experience :shudders:

Hehe no it’d be exceedingly rare if they got stuck. They don’t have lots of saliva the way us mammals do. 🙂 Bird mouths are fairly dry.
