In my opinion, when you get a deal like that, it is what I consider a “Found” item and is meant to stay with you.
After college, and a while after you land that great career type position, you can point to “Huey” who was the beginning of your great collection, and say that he was what started it all.
Also, since you love cats, take a look at the FAQ’s on the Forum. Real cats like to chew on Windstones, so keep Huey out of paw’s reach. (Just a side note.)
Another piece of unsolicited advice, if you can, hold onto Huey. Windstones seem to be the one collectible that always hold their value, if not grow in it. Even if the piece was produced for a long time, as the popularity of Windstone grows, the piece will have more demand. As I have seen several of the Windstone experts write here on this forum (roughly translated) Value is set by the amount a collector is willing to pay, and you can never tell when that might end up being a lot.
Welcome! State your name and follow with . . . “and I am a Windstoneaholic.” LOL! 😉
P.S. If you find other great finds at the Thrift Store, there is a place on the Forum to sell items other than Windstone!
