For a friend

So, I got this idea over the summer to paint a kirin for a friend of mine. Now, half a year later, I finally had time to implement this idea since school was out for the semester and work was slowing down for the season. Here’s what I did.

For those who are wondering, it is based off of Rainbow Dash from the tv show My Little Pony. My friend is a huge fan of that show and I thought it would be fun to surprise her with this. I gave it anonymously, so as far as I know, she doesn’t know that I gave it to her. I’ll be honest, it turned out cooler than I thought it would.

Knew right off the bat who this was. A very fine Rainbow indeed! I’ve always had in the back of my mind the want to paint a unicorn like my beloved Lady Rarity… but figured her color scheme might look too plain on a windstone sculpture.
