I was wondering if you’d ever considered doing the flion in another color? I know there aren’t many options with lions but perhaps a seal brown with purple wings (please!!) Just wondering… Also are the black griffin mom and chicks coming out in the next few months or will it be awhile? Thanks.
ooo a Black Flion, Or a White Flion. You could go lighter or darker thatn the others too. The Lion here at our Zoo is tawny with a really dark brown mane.

Yep, I have a White Flion with blue eyes sitting right here. He looks like a sheep. I had the casting dept find the old molds and cast a bunch to paint in white… then I realised that the mold had shrunk. This causes the face to be distorted slightly.. anyway I am not too happy with them, although probably nobody else would notice. I was going to re-do the sculpture a little to fix some other issues it has.. and then I got disrtracted with other projects…you know… the usual. I still have the old flion sculpture sitting on my work table.

I used to watch Kimba all the time when I was a kid. I didn’t know it was the first anime cartoon over here, lol.

😆 😆 😆 I fell out of my chair laughing. You know us too well! I would vote black only because 1)the wolf griffins are awesome and deserve some time as the brownish griffin and 2) The Black Gryphon is one of my favorite Mercedes Lackey books and we need more black ones!

Me, too. I remember running home from kindergarden to watch it. I noticed alot of similarities when The Lion King came out but as far as nothing was ever proved that the writers got ideas from Kimba.

Nah, actually I wouldn’t mind a tiny break from griffins, and I would LOVE to see the flion come back!
…but I’d love to see the kirins or gothic unicorns come back first…. 😈
