I’d loved Windstone dragons since I saw my aunts collection as a kid, and recently my sister reminded me that I am an adult with discretionary funds.

I’d been waffling back and forth for a while on where to start, when a some point I remembered that the PYOS exist and I’ve been painting miniatures for years.

So I grabbed a little cutie and gave it a shot. I learned I should not have given cadmium red as much leeway as I did, and tried antiquing for the first time (miniatures tend to have tiny details that can break easily, so I’d never had a good opportunity to try it.)

But im pretty happy with how the little guy came out, even if the sunlight hasn’t been terribly cooperative for photographs. You can’t really see the iridescent pigments on anything but the purple wing tips, do you’ll have to trust me that there’s subtle shimmer on the white.
