    Sheesh….when it rains, it pours.

You two take care of each other, and both of you need to rest.

I hope the excitement gods are done with you for now.

*shaking head* As if you two need all this crap along with everything else going on in your life…somebody upstairs needs to give you a break!

Wow, that was quick thinking! That was a very scary situation and I’m glad nothing worse happened.

I hope this is the last bit of bad luck that you have for a long, long time.

Congrats on the quick thinking and I’m glad everyone is ok! You deserve a backrub and a good night’s sleep! 😀

I know spraying cold water on a burning shed is dangerous if there are chemicals inside, etc. etc. . . . but I’d much rather have you around in a crisis than your neighbor, purpledoggy! While it’s very important to not get hurt, still, there’s something just plain wrong about standing around and letting a fire spread. You’ve got a lot of courage, fighting that fire with just the garden hose. Bravi! (And I am SO glad that the shed did not explode. Scary, scary stuff, fire.)

Well done purple, i couldn’t help but laugh when i read the first part of that hee hee. I had this mental picture in my head what was going on.

Heeey.. why do you get all the excitement? No fair! 🙁 Well done! The general rule is not to fight a fire that is bigger than you are, but I would have done the same thing. No way am I letting my house burn down withought at least a token effort. Make sure not to put yourself in serious danger, though… if something happened to the baby, you would feel guilty, and we cant have that. 😉

I’m glad everything turned out okay. And that you and the baby, your hubby, and cat are all okay. That’s enough excitement now. Quit that! 🙂

This happened to us this spring. We’ve been in drought and things have been very dry. The yard itself was on fire and myself, my husband and my brother in law combated it with hoses to try and keep it off of the houses. I ran outside barefoot but I didn’t have time to think, this was a FAST moving fire with high winds. Burnt my feet. My brother in law ended up in the hospital for smoke inhalation and probably would have died if we had left about 5 minutes later to do the recycling (we we on the way out when we realized what was going on). He is okay now but has lung damage. My husband and I got away with minor smoke inhalation and I had burnt feet.

The second photo has over 2 acres of burnt area shown. If we hadn’t been quick and diligent with the hoses the houses and possibly the woods would have been lost.

It was a near thing. I was about ready to run into the house and grab the animals. Maybe the Sun Griffin if I had had time. 😆

Wow! Nobody had any idea that you or the Sun Griffin were in such peril. I hope your feet are okay, and that everyone is feeling better soon.

Instead of yelling at you to stop your neighbor should be giving you a medal you probably saved his house as well. I am glad to hear everybody is OK. I probably would have grabbed my dog and headed out the other way.

Wow, oh Wow. I agree with everyone one else Purple, definately tell your doctor when you see him about the fire.

And both of you get a medal from me.
