I hear the blue/yellow/green yarn is blacklight responsive.

It’s about four feet square and made of acrylic yarn, so it’s washable. The colors in the bright yarn are kind of washed out, I couldn’t get them to show up like I wanted them to, but the blues are very dark blues shading from green to yellow.

Might take offers on it if someone’s interested.

That’s lovely! My mom taught me to crochet, though I rarely have time to. She makes beautiful afghans. Her latest one for me used 6 lbs of yarn and is heavy and soo warm for the winter. πŸ™‚

This one weighs maybe three pounds. I had intended to make it just a tad bigger, but ran out of yarn. It’s at least big enough to keep your legs and lower torso warm, or perhaps to drape over yourself when you lay down.

I like my feet out from under the covers anyway. Temperature regulation and all. πŸ˜‰

That is very colorful. How long did it take you?

Not too long in total, I don’t think. I didn’t really keep track. I’d guess between ten and fifteen hours.

Granny square is one of those stitches you don’t really have to look at. You can just kind of do it absentmindedly while watching TV.

Aw, very cool. So you could knit 4 of those in a hour.

*laughs* nono, 10 to 15 *hours*, not minutes.

In reality it took me weeks to finish, because crocheting continuously is hard on my arms and shoulders. When the rounds started getting long I’d only do one or two before I had to stop.

I could probably make four little pot holder type things in an hour, but not something this size.
