You’ve been a forum member for a while. How did you originally find the forum?

I am wondering that myself. I know their website was nothing but a symbol and a phone number for the longest time. Finding the forum was a surprise.

I remember googling Windstone Editions and discovering they had a bunch of new sculpts since 1997. I don’t know why I joined the forum because I only became addicted afterwards.
              Dragoness?

I discovered that some colors were retired and hit ebay. There I found the new colors and dug for online stores. AstralCastle came up, and there I found the link to the Windstone Yahoo group, and from there, I was directed to the Livejournal community. Then the forum was launched and tada! I’m still here 😀

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

The hubby and I were talking to John on the phone about the possibility of Windstone producing the Fairy Fossils hubby makes and John mentioned that they were starting a Forum. I forgot about if for a while, but went to check out the site to see if there were any new items I needed to order for stock, and found the forum. Joined! 😀

Well, I decided one day that I wanted to find the rest of the Emerald dragons. I had forgot which company produced them even tho the stamp was on the bottom 😳 . But I did have a dragon that said Pena so I googled that and found out that there were some Emerald dragons on Evilbay. I ran into the Windstone yahoo group and then joined it. Then someone said that Windstone started a forum, well I decided that I didn’t want to join too many things at once. So I just started reading the topics but then I wanted to reply to something so I had to join. And here I am a couple years later and around 200 Windstones. 😀

I found the website by way of ebay too. When I first found it, the forum wasn’t active yet. I kept watching the site periodically, but then I kinda forgot about it. I emailed Melody about something I saw on ebay and in addition to answering my question, she directed me to the forum. That was a couple of months after it started up. I joined the month after you did. 😉

I found the forum straight from Windstone’s site. 😀

Yep, there weren’t as many people on the forum as there are now. I haven’t looked at the current list. I wonder how many memebers we have now. Hmm

I can say because evilbay directed us to the forum then that can be one positive thing about it. 😀

We have 496 users. I’d say only half or less are active though. Active as in posting. There are lots of lurkers. 🙂

I used to frequent the Windstone Livejournal community that Chessie and Amber set up, before this forum existed.

I get to Blame Snap, he let me know it existed as soon as he knew that I loved Windstones.
