And I’m bored out of my mind! LOL.
I had a cheilectomy (sp?) done and am hoping the pain/recovery is somewhat mild.
      Anyone else had this done?
I have arthritis and the boney changes on the top of my large toe joints were causing severe pain when I walked. Keeping in mind I have two kids and four ponies to take care of, I was putting it off for so long. Well my toe actually started freezing up making me writhe in pain until it popped out, I had no choice but to finally do it.
So far all is well, though the nerve block will wear off soon and I’m a bit nervous.

But I’m bored and it seems daytime is a slow time for the boards… I can’t go to the barn for two weeks! 😮 That is going to drive me crazy!
Just hoping recovery is quick! Dr. wasn’t very optimistic. Said 2 weeks for normal shoes and 6 weeks to 4 months to be able to run. Argh! But I’m looking forward to not having the “glass in the joint” feeling when walking!
      Sill bored though. 😀

Yeah the boards are incredibly slow during the day. Good luck recovering from surgery.

Glad that you finally had this done–sucks that it will take a while to heal. But it will get better and yes, it’s boring being home and not able to do anything. Don’t rush it and give it time to heal–you don’t want to mess something up and have gone through this for naught.

Yeah, I know. They nerve blocked the toe, so not really much pain… yet… Still waiting for that part…
Got to remember to stay off it, but it’s so hard! I want to do something! I’ve been driving Mike crazy as I’ve been watching Bridget Jone’s Diary parts one and two over and over again! LOL. I just saw them for the first time this las week aand LOVE them! So funny!

Also when I get bored, I tend to shop… Found some really nice jewlry ending soon…. Must have! But the Little Rock Dragon is taunting me too! 🙄

I’m glad to hear things went well with your surgery, but like you said
the healing part is very boring when you can’t do anything.

*chuckles* I SOOOO know how you feel about not being able to go to the barn and making one crazy. But……better to behave yourself and heal all the way than the alternative, right? 😉

If they’ve put you in a hard cast just be real careful what you stick down it to scrath with… i lost a serrated steak knife down one of mine and was too embarrassed to tell anyone…

And I thought I was the only one!!! Only my cast was a half cast on my wrist…. 😳

I hope the recovery is speedy and none – too – painful for you, phoenix. I suggest getting some reading done…

*snort* LOL. I am using scissors. LOL
No, no cast. The bandage is huge though. They are really afraid of infection because the bone tehre is so close to the surface. I’m not aloowed to take the bandage off until Friday at the Dr.
It itchesssss though! Plus I want to see what it looks like!
The nerve block has worn off so I’m stuck with vicoden. Ugh! I hope healing goes quickly! First shows are in April and I need to be able to run ponies!
                      Cfrossing fingers!

Wishing you a quick recovery! Maybe this would be a perfect time to pick up a new hobby needing only your hands. Anyways, not sure if you went for the bracelet, but if you did, congrats =) . And if not, well, early congrats on the little rock dragon 😉
