Nope he’s not on the list. I couldn’t really yell at most of the people because they don’t speak english. They get alot of people from all over the world that come to that hospital (its supposed to be so ubber) and I guess they don’t have manners where they come from. More stress for today, I woke up this morning (after having nightmares all night of my husband dying) and realized my sonogram is scheduled for today in an hour. I told the girl on the phone to make it for next week but I didn’t even know what the date was so when she told me the 15th I agreed to it. Now I’m rushing around getting ready to leave the house and my cat is bugging the hell out of me.

That’s a cat for you. They’ll do it every time.

OMG you have no idea. Sometimes I think he is a dog. Every night when I’m trying to play everquest he wants to play fetch. He will bring me a milk tab or his armband that my husband gave him and scream and scream and paw at me until I throw it. Then he brings it back to me and screams until I throw it again. I’ve had many a group member die because the main healer is too busy playing fetch with the cat. Every morning he is putting his nose under the bedroom door screaming for me to get up so he can sit in my lap and put his paws in my face. He is the strangest cat I’ve ever owned.

While I am not an advocated of lawyers, you should seek counsel. Literally your husband’s life could depend on knowing what rights you have and the quickest way to receive help. This is especially true when both the hospital and insurance are dragging their feet. To them it is only a financial issue. If the insurance doesn’t pay, there is no incentive for the hospital to help you. (It should be about saving people’s lives, but I’ve found the US health care system cares more about the bottom line.) If they can wait long enough to a point where you husband cannot get surgery due to strength/weight, etc. they will be able to write him off and have a “medical” excuse to do it.

Please seek legal advice. If you are truly doing everything you can, they will tell you and you can take some comfort in that. If not, they could be your best ally.

I don’t know how good this resource is, but it may help in your search:
