I am so glad you guys are one step closer to that transplant. I really pray, and I don’t pray often, that all goes well when the time comes.

π― That dragon is absolutely stunning! I think I need to get one now. I’ve never owned an OW… and one of these guys would be an awesome addition to my collection. He also looks perfect in that display case. Man…. I really need one of those OWs. *looks around for stuff to sell*.
I’m sorry about your husband. It must be really difficult dealing with an issue like this… and there isn’t much you can do. At least you are there for him, and he knows you love him. That is the most important thing you can do right now… is just stick by him. Good luck with everything, and your husband will be in our prayers. π

August 14, 2007 at 12:46 am #607821I hope they get the testing done and done right. I totally understand your frustration – I have very little (some say no) tolerance for incompetence. And when it is something as critical as a lung transplant I would be freaking out on them if they didn’t do things right. That said – the cookies or donuts or especially chocolate are a great idea. A lot of time all the staff gets are complaints and/or raised voices. A little appreciation can go a long way…..and if not at least you can think of the people either 1)having to do longer work outs to get rid of the chocolate calories or 2)picture them having to buy new, larger clothes. π Either way it’s a win/win situation for you!
Ok, I was just trying to make you smile. But, really, if you become “that nice young couple that always brings us chocolate/cookies/pizza” you’ll stand out in a good way. And hopefully someone will take extra special care of your husband.

That definately sounds like a better plan then mine. heheAugust 14, 2007 at 3:01 am #607823It’s really sad because whenever my husband gets really scared he always wants me to be there. His mother gets really pissed off that he always asks for me first (I know alot of men are momma’s boys and want mommy). His mother is not very reliable and hasn’t been around to help all that much. I’m the only person he can count on to always be there to get him thru. His entire family really makes me mad since NONE of them come around/ask how he is doing, or try to help us in any way. If it wasn’t for my family helping us we would have been sunk two years ago when all this really started to get bad. His sister hasn’t talked to him in over 7 months and his father told him if he would belive in Jesus all of this wouldn’t be happening to him. My brother has been there for him more then any of his family and I just think its the worst thing I’ve ever seen. It breaks my heart to see him go thru this without any support from his blood relatives. One day I’m going to lose it and blast all of them. What a glorious day that will be π

You know… You ARE his family and if his genetic family doesn’t want to support him…that is their problem. He has YOUR family and YOUR love and that is what matters. His family isn’t worth your time if they don’t support you both!
I am sure he is grateful for all that you have made together and for all your support.
You guys have to focus on the positive for what you are both about to go through…it won’t be an easy road….but you have each other!

Unfortunately, that seems to be going around! π He’s a beauty, though.
