I don’t have the male to match and I’m picking up the pearls for my hunny for Christmas, then hopefully the Black Sunsets will be out, then I’ll work on the wolf set…that’s going to be a lot of griffins…I hope they all get along 🙂
I keep all of mine in different display cases, just in case! 😉 Territorial little beasts…

-J R R TolkienOctober 4, 2007 at 12:26 am #623119I’d love to see pics of the brown female griffin once she arrives to her new home, I mean once they all arrive to their now homes. 😆

October 4, 2007 at 12:52 am #623120I’ll get a picture for sure. I’m having her shipped UPS (cheaper than USPS by $12) so she won’t get here until next Tuesday after 5 p.m. Eastern time. Hopefully someone else who ordered one will get theirs sooner and can post a picture.
October 4, 2007 at 4:00 am #623121I’m getting mine tomorrow, but I’m going out of town. 🙁 I’ll take photos of mine next week.

-J R R TolkienOctober 4, 2007 at 6:40 am #623122I would like one, but I am trying to restrain myself. I just bought a big Widnstone, so I will have to wait. 😕
October 4, 2007 at 12:25 pm #623123I’d like to get one, but I’m trying real hard to keep myself from spending more. I just gotta keep reminding myself that I’m only collecting dragons and Poads. No more griffins.. no more griffins.. no more griffins!!! Must save up for next dragon!!

I know what you mean. I see something new and I want to start collecting them too. My collection has grown so much since joining the forum that I’m running out of display space.
October 4, 2007 at 3:27 pm #623125I’m running out of space too…Arrrgh! I’m gonna have to get a bigger house for the windstones! 😯 😛
October 5, 2007 at 1:02 am #623126I’ll have to wait when mine arrives-its going to be a Christmas present. Now if the chicks could come out in time…..
October 5, 2007 at 11:21 am #623127The brown mamas are pretty, but I’m passing on them, too. For one thing I have no room, and for another, there’s nothing left on my credit card. 😆
October 5, 2007 at 9:13 pm #623128She’s here!
From what I can tell, she matches my Male pretty darn good! I’m going by memory and a bad picture though, since he’s boxed and I’m not sure where he is is in my giant pile of boxes. She sure is pretty nonetheless. I’m putting an outside pic in the Celebration thread if you want another shot. I received the PYO from ebay today also, so he’ll be in there too.
October 6, 2007 at 2:08 am #623129Thanks for the picture! She looks a lot lighter than the photo in the store. Does your picture reflect that actual color pretty accurately?

Sorry for the delay in answer. The picture is pretty accurate for my girl’s color, but she’s probably just a touch darker. This one’s inside with natural light. There’s flash too, but I also took it without flash, and the only difference I saw was the shiny bits. There’s an outdoor pic in the Celebration thread too, if you haven’t seen it, but she looks much darker there. I knew interference was hard to capture, but I didn’t expect it to be so difficult to get accurate colors for these pieces 😕
October 7, 2007 at 5:03 am #623131Thanks for the info! I saw the other picture in the celebration thread and noticed that it did look quite a bit darker. I guess this is more proof that Windstones are notoriously hard to capture accurately in photos! 🙂
For people who haven’t seen the celebration thread picture yet, here it is:
