In case someone hasn’t made it to the store here she is in all her glory:
And here’s the link to buy her.

On my monitor the dark brown areas look like the dark brown on the shoulder of the gold sitting spectral.
FYI — I PM’d Melody about this and this is what she said:Melody wrote:I don’t know. I left before these were completed! We are in Corvallis now. I think that the sample that was photo-ed was my paint sample, and it was exceptionally dark on the front. Most of the others I looked at (before I left) were much lighter golden color on front. Since this is the first batch, there will be a bit more variety in the color. As a production piece settles into a paint routine, they become much more consistant in color.
We are still working the color scheme out on these. You might want to ask Susie or somebody at the shop to look at one for you..I did call Susie about this but she wasn’t sure either.

I’m really curious now too. Let us know what you find out.
October 2, 2007 at 10:36 pm #623106She looks darker than my male too. Arg! I haven’t decided yet. I have no more room! I think I’m going to have to wait. π₯ I need to buy stock for conventions, and I’m very poor right now. Sadness.
October 2, 2007 at 10:41 pm #623107I’m broke too. Oh well, I’m waiting for chicks.
October 2, 2007 at 11:08 pm #623108Whoo hoo! I’m soooo glad she’s the regular cost. I would’ve cried if she was $230 like the Pearls. It’s sad she’ll be in a box for a few years, but I’ll have her! Yay!
Now… c’mon chickies!!

So did you actually get one??
October 3, 2007 at 12:21 am #623110Oh, she’s really nice!!! I’m just partial to the wolf color I guess…I’m gonna pass on the momma but will probably break down and get the chicks though…the chicks are irresistable in any color! π
October 3, 2007 at 12:56 am #623111WAUGH! π― π Aargh! The griffin I’ve been waiting for, and just when I’m trying to be good! Boy I hope there are more batches of these to come. I just can’t buy her right now.
I don’t suppose there might be some of these gals with stripes on their wings, someday? They look so elegant on the male.

I think we’ll pretty much have to wait for the reports of the forum members who decided to get one! πOctober 3, 2007 at 5:04 am #623113LOL did everyone resist but me???
Yes, DM I did actually buy one – I’ll let everyone know what mine looks like when she gets here. Yeep! I really shouldn’t have bought her now, but griffins are SOOOOO hard to resist! >_< I hope the chicks don't come out for a while!

No I’m there with you too. My husband approves of her. He said he could picture the black female in his head, but liked the look of the brown female better so I guess we are going to have a mixed family. π Oh and I agree about hoping the chicks take a while. It would be nice if the black and the brown chicks came out about the same time so we could pick our favorite of each.October 3, 2007 at 5:32 am #623115Well, Arlla and Pegasi, that makes at least 3 of us. We’ll all have to post pics to see how much color variety there is for these first ladies. π
And yeah, my bank account can wait for the chicks… I just think they’re too cute not to have, that’s all. But I suppose the adults do need some together time first…. π

Please do! I’m very curious to see what they look like. π
October 3, 2007 at 7:49 pm #623117I don’t have the male to match and I’m picking up the pearls for my hunny for Christmas, then hopefully the Black Sunsets will be out, then I’ll work on the wolf set…that’s going to be a lot of griffins…I hope they all get along π
