I do believe that we share a birthday…. 8)

However, I’d take mountains, forests and 4 seasons over living on a tropical island any day (though I wouldn’t mind a visit to one)! Winter without snow just doesn’t feel right to me! 😉
Then again, I can’t deal well with hot weather. I can always add layers. There are only so many layers you can take off and still be considered ‘decent’ in public.
All you said! 😀
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Those are my thoughts too! :yes:February 6, 2009 at 4:14 am #750726Adaneth wrote:YAY, somebody after my own heart! No tropical islands for me either. Summer just means heat, misery, and way too many mosquitoes and wood ticks. :puke:
Totally with you on the ‘just add layers’ thing. Can’t take off my skin in the summertime, alas. 🙁
Wow, sometimes I’ve felt like the only person in the world who hates hot weather…I don’t feel so alone after this thread! 🙂 In fact, once it starts getting above about 75°F, I start getting miserable. Give me chilly weather any day!

I’m with you two. Anything over 80 and you can generally find me indoors in the A/C. But I can traipse around outdoors on a 20 degree day in just a hoodie and a t-shirt and jeans, no problem. I heatstroke fast, always have, but I’ll outlast the rest of my family in the wintertime. 🙂

Haha! I guess. 😆
To tell the truth, I like having four seasons too, though I’d do just fine in a tropical climate. (My air-cooled bike not so much, so I might get tired of it after a while anyway…)
I like white Christmases, of which we’ve had none for ten years, and I like an excuse to drink hot tea as soon as I get to the office in the morning. But after three months of subzero temperatures I get impatient with having to pull on four layers of clothes every morning plus full motorcycle gear. If the sissy in me had it her way, we’d have 15°C all year around, at least. But I know, it’s better the way it is. 😀February 6, 2009 at 10:11 am #750729I was born in November..so that kinda explains me..I like to warm with a cooling breeze…lol
I do like beach environs…but too much and seek shade..too much is bad for the scales.. 😀
February 6, 2009 at 1:19 pm #750730I don’t always hate winter…Christmas wouldn’t be the same if it was warm. That just ain’t natural. But I don’t like the way things look during the winter – gray/brown/asleep/dead – however you want to put it. I like green, and flowers. >.>; I don’t like ice cutting off our electricity. Because then you have to sit in the house and freeze. I don’t like my car being stuck in the driveway because it’s a little 2WD Neon when it ices and/or snows. Because then I have to mooch rides from people with trucks. >.>; It makes you feel trapped.
I guess it’s different for those of you who live farther north – your winters are longer, so you get used to it. o.o; Ours is just long enough to annoy, and just short enough to forget about for the rest of the year. My favorite times of year are definitely late spring and fall. =)

Hurrah! 😀 For me it’s 68 F. Past that, I can’t sleep well at all, and I’m increasingly surly and miserable. It’s wonderful to take hikes when it’s 40’s and 50’s, or even 30’s. 🙂
February 6, 2009 at 7:26 pm #750732It’s my birth month too. I find the older I get, the less I like the cold, but I do indeed enjoy the less bugs thing. 😀 Nah, I like February, but I am scared of what the girls at work will be able to get me to do…Like go out. *thinks about the day after and cringes* Morning after? —–> :puke: XD

Cool, another person who has my birthday! Now I know 2! Happy birthday too, what are you doing to celebrate?
The birthdate I have found to be the most common among those I know is June 29th, I have 3 friends who have that birthday and one summer while on a boat headed to Catalina Island, I met a nice little girl who was about 9 years old who also had that birthday. So for some reason I am fated to know a lot of Cancers. LOL!
