I don’t listen to music while I paint. I’m not allowed, apparently. Every time I turn on my music, it’s like… turn it down already!
If I could though it would include:
Within Temptation
Delain
After Forever
Nightwish
(but only the softer stuff of the above. None of the really angry ones. They just make me get frustrated with my work)
Breaking Benjamin
Dido
Eagles
Guns n RosesAnd others. Whatever music I find that I like, I’ll listen to while painting.

I’m so surprised that someone else has heard of Bolligomingo! I love that CD so so so much. I wish there were more.
I found Balligomingo’s CD ‘Beyond’ in a church rummage sale. Thought the cover looked interesting (Balligomingo’s name looked similar to the artist who did ‘Twin Peaks’) and when I first played it–I really, really liked it! You’re right–I don’t see any new stuff and wouldn’t mind seeing more.

Sadly they are not actually a group.. the CD was a one-time thing with a collection of different singers and there won’t be more! *weep* π₯

I never tire of Selected Ambient works II, lol, my poor CD’s are so worn out π
November 22, 2009 at 4:38 pm #793251I listen to a lot of different genres, mostly 80’s (especially rock)… sometimes I just put the list on shuffle… one random song after another. LOL
But when I really want to get my creative juices going, I listen to Loreena McKennitt. I don’t know how to describe it, but it just forces my mind “deeper”. I have my favorite songs by her interchanged with my favorite songs off an album called Arabian Pleasures. I titled the playlist “art music”. Most of the time, that is what I will be listening to. π

Then you’d probably love Delain as well, at least. After Forever kinda sounds like Nightwish… between their old and newer stuff… π -
