It must be sad to be a diabetic. Diseases of all kinds are real crap…

Now that I see this almost a month later…

No it only kinda sucks sometimes. It’ll suck more if I decide I want kids. I’d have to Nazi my diet (right now the rules are kinda loose – follow the recommended amounts of the Canada Food Guide. Snacks are in (in moderation, no huge tubs of ice cream).

hmmm my grandmother was diabetic sometimes it can be a hassle but there are some great recipes with sugar substitutes out there

I know. A dessert doesn’t need to contain loads of sugar to be good. In fact, it’s almost the contrary. REALLY GOOD desserts all have just a little bit of sugar, with lots of high-quality ingredients: pure cocoa powder, real fruits, cassonnade, honey… you know, that kind of good stuff.

Isn’t caramel burned sugar???? That’s how I made it when I was younger… Not that I remember anything other then the burnt sugar….

And I know that desserts are better with very little sugar. That’s what I’ve noticed, anyway. 😀 In reference to bowhead whale. 😀

Apple pie is my favorite. Especially when the apples are sliced very thin and there is lots of cinnamon. Most people like it best with ice cream but I prefer a little real whipped cream.

I also have a great love for homemade Rice Krispie treats. But only the real homemade ones, not the ones you buy in the store now.

I voted for pies!! YUM. Number one favorite pie is Pumpkin, then I tend to go for all the fruit ones like apple or blueberry.

I would have once voted chocolate, and I DO love chocolate…but alas, chocolate does not love me. My gut has become a rather sensitive prude lately.

Have you tried it with pure coconut milk? It’s HEAVENLY!!! :yum: In fact, I’ve discovered I love coconut milk so much, when I mix it with regular “cow” milk, it’s like drinking a milkshake to me! And coconut milk on dessserts is… well… undescrible.
