Never even knew that they changed the TOS in the first place like a lot of other people apparently.
However, they’ve posted a note saying that they’re going to have the users help redefine the TOS and TOU policies now, I still go on there almost every day, but it’s now a think about it before you post it even more than before.
February 27, 2009 at 1:05 pm #752833After that story broke about a week ago they reverted back to their original TOS.
February 27, 2009 at 1:10 pm #752834I remember hearing about this on the news. I’m not on facebook so it doesn’t matter to me. Add in the fact that I don’t ever plan on going there and it really doesn’t matter to me.
February 27, 2009 at 1:51 pm #752835My brother’s trying to get me to join. I remember hearing about all the hooplah, last week, was it? It seemed a bit underhanded to sneak in a change like that.
Happy to stick with Livejournal!
February 27, 2009 at 6:57 pm #752836The minute I heard about the change I tore down all my photography, and had my sister, a serious photographer do the same. I really don’t post anything else there that wouldn’t be found a hundred different ways on the internet without Facebook, but I’ll be damned if they can just take the rights to keep, sell, alter and otherwise steal our pictures. I won’t be posting anymore of them up, even with them changing back their TOS. I’ll just keep them somewhere else that actually respects your rights to your work.
February 28, 2009 at 1:41 am #752837I never post any of my pictures on there. My picture isn’t even a picture of me (it’s a picture of a kitty with a dynamite plunger 😀 ). I’m only searchable by those who went to my college, but I never post journal entries and I don’t subscribe to all those applications that grab your info. If I didn’t have friends who posted so many pictures or events, like their wedding, or fraternity events (not one of ‘those’ fraternities… so nothing scandalous, I can assure you 🙂 ), I wouldn’t even have a picture of me floating around there. I hate the tagging feature on photos for that reason.
