Gage is a Mastiff Rotty mix I was told when I picked him up, I got him in April from some people who were giving him away, we are his 3rd home 🙁 .

You can not tell he has any rotty in him for the most part, he has the longer rotty fur on his back, and someone docked his tail, badly. Who ever did it had no clue what they were doing so the end is bald because it had to grow scar tissue over the bone.

And tell the disemboweled pillows I came home too that he is not evil incarnate.

              You never know!

Actually, I find fascinating the dogs who DON’T destroy their toys… My pom-a-poo (14 pounds) is just like Ruffian’s dog. Any chew toy will last about 30 seconds (she’s a small dog, so she needs more time than your big one!) She’s been like this ever since she was a pup, so now, when I see a dog playing with a plush toy without shredding it to piece, I just stare.

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

My parents always bought our dog chewtoys that she couldn’t shred… like the rope ones. She had one of those for years, but then it got left outside one winter. She never liked the new one we replaced it with… 🙄

Good Luck with your new dog. I have never been able to interest Tristen (my chow) in any doggie toys. He weighs about 82 lbs.

He has certain things he will take great pleasure in destroying quickly, like pillows, including one in the hotel room on friday night. But that stuffed fonzie bear he has been chewing on since he moved in and he just pulled the stuffing out of his head last week.

Because he destroys some things the ropes are quite bad for him, he will undo the knots, sometimes one end sometimes both, then swallow the strings, which can cause major bowel problems.

My Chow Chow, Pippin, also never plays with toys, never has, and hardly plays with dogs or people.

Any news yet on the pup?
