The images you pointed out are called tessellations and are not unique to Escher, although he puts quite a twist on them. They’re a mathematical and artistic nightmare.
At least to me, anyway.
I think what you meant was that it’d be neat if Melody attempted a tessellation, perhaps?

Yes they are! I remember working on one for fun one time. GACK! Someday… when I have time again, maybe I’ll try another one. Someday. Maybe. When I feel like going nuts.
