Enchanted was just a combination of all their old movies because they are unable to think of anything different. Yes, they’ve made their living on the fairy tales and children’s stories and there is nothing wrong with that. Just write something new and exciting, with no connection to anything prior to what they have.
Seriously since when has disney ever made a movie that was origanal , 95% of them are fairy tales that have been around for a millenia with the exception of Lion King but im sure if you dig enough there is an older version, besides i like the Brothers Grim , and Hauns Christian Anderson endings better
March 26, 2008 at 12:05 am #681497I was told there was a Kimba the White Lion version from I think Japan or somewhere
March 26, 2008 at 12:20 am #681498Well there ya go Disney is completely unoriganal
March 26, 2008 at 12:36 am #681499So there you go! I would like to see the original one. By this picture I guess I was told right
They used to have original ideas, too bad!!
I guess that also means the name Simba is not original eitherMarch 26, 2008 at 12:40 am #681500Necron99 wrote:TheRedWriter wrote:I have pretty much lost all of my respect for Disney. Actually, the Lion King storyline was straight out of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”. I’ve heard of Kimba, but I’m not sure of how alike they are.
March 26, 2008 at 12:53 am #681501well the stories are not 100% the same
http://www.kimba.biz/March 26, 2008 at 2:45 pm #681502at least Pixar has some good origanal stuff , i wonder if they are still gonna work with Disney i read a while back they couldnt seal a deal with monitary compensation for video releases and commisions on the films while in theaters
March 26, 2008 at 4:23 pm #681503When I was in a radio, television, and film class in college my teacher told us that all books, movies, shows, et cetera were based of 7 original “themes/stories” so nothing is ever really original.
Don’t ask me what the 7 themes/stories were he never told us. 😆

Disney has already bought out Pixar. I have a friend that works as a CG engineer there and he wasn’t all that happy about it. But the good thing is that Disney doesn’t interfer with the storying line at all, more out of fear of ruining it like everything else they seem to touch. As far as I know, they just own it.
March 26, 2008 at 9:26 pm #681505i just looked at a Pixar artical , those poor guys have been bought and sold ten times over , im surprised any one can hold a job there . I had no idea that it was started by Lucus film in 1979
March 26, 2008 at 9:47 pm #681506I thought they where sort of new and did not know htey had EVER been sold. I had heard they had to make so many movies under Disney then where going on their own
They are in my backyard I wish I could do voices for themMarch 26, 2008 at 9:59 pm #681507That was the original plan, Pixar always did want to be an independent company after Lucas. Lynn would know more about it than I would, I should ask him. Though he hasn’t been at work since the accident, he’s supposed to be going back next month. He’s been having a lot of fun working on their newest film “Wally” I think it was.
