7/8/10 update to message below – things seem o.k. again! Yay!

Hi. We’re experiencing some computer issues today (7/5/10 & 7/6/10) – I just now noticed that I haven’t been receiving email today and that means that all of the “we have PYO Dragon and Ki-rins in stock” messages did not go out in a timely fashsion and those items are already sold out again. We will be having more! I’ll keep you on the waiting lists. (also If you no longer want to be on a waiting list, please let me know.)We are receiving orders and payments o.k. – our problem seems to be right here. If you’ve emailed a question, please note that we have not received it. Hopefully we will have the problem solved soon!

But if you don’t get the email or respond within the week, and I check back here and see all has been settled with servers and ISPs etc., I’ll re-email you though by then, you’d probably have received the package. Sorry your experiencing technical difficulties.

I got the 3 messages above – thanks for your patience! Jen- I forwarded yours to Shaun who is still in the office this week – in fact he’s correcting our email problems for us. Things should be working fine very soon!

Just got off the phone with John to give him an update. Right now we have 53,230 e-mails left in the queue. This poor server is working its heart out to process them and as they queue through I can remove them in batches. We started with over 400,000, and as I cleaned them out, more appeared. My best guess is close to a million e-mails have been processed so far. It appears the queue as stopped growing (as I’ve put firewalls in place), so the clean up effort is all that is left.
I am starting to see legitimate e-mails that Susie has sent out, but unfortunately they are stuck here in the queue until the full clean up is done. I can’t release the queue to let the real e-mail out because then a thousand of these spam e-mails would jump into the pipe and try to go out as well 🙄
So as of right now, no e-mail is moving in either direction. Any e-mail that is being sent to Windstone is going into a “holding tank” on another server, waiting, as not to make the situation worse.
More updates later tonight.
The new user registration thing was an easy fix, and that should be working again.
