Yes, he is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi 😀 He’s my baby boy, though he just turned four a few months ago. I’m glad some of you know where I got his name from, LOL! Most people looks at me and think it’s short for Einstein though he is a very smart dog!
He’s a Pembroke, which are the same dogs that the Queen of England had. They were bred from Cardigan Corgis that were used to herd cattle and were bred purposely to have very short legs so when the cattle kicked at them it would miss and go over their heads. Cardigans aren’t fluffy like Pembrokes either, they have more oily, bristly fur like a german shepards & rotties. They’re a bit stockier and robust and have long tails too. I’m not sure if Pembrokes don’t have tail when they are born or if they get docked when their babies. Ein certainly still has his herding enstincts though. He’s always nipping at my pant legs if I run around the house.
I’m glad everyone enjoyed the pics. I don’t get out much so I wanted to share 😉

July 2, 2008 at 6:09 pm #719404Oh too cute. Doesn’t look like he enjoyed the water up his bum very much though. 😆
July 2, 2008 at 9:38 pm #719405There’s Ein!!! 😀
LOL! He was quite frightened of the water. He didn’t like the taste at all either. More so the waves coming in. He was alright in the calm water between the rocks.

I thought my parent’s dog was the only one afraid of water. But she almost drowned under a dock so that’s easily explained. 🙄
