Thanks everyone! KC and I are really proud of it so far. Now only if we can find more time to work on it…..curse school!
Purplecat, thanks for the advice on the finish-I think we will check it out!dragonmedley, your reaction made me laugh! How big were you expecting it to be? I think my husband’s first reaction to it’s size was the same as yours. he didn’t think we could paint it.
I hope we can finish the mural soon, and I will post more pictures of the finished nursery!

Well, it’s taking up the WHOLE wall. All the murals I’ve done are only on part of a wall/door, the equivalent of stickers (though sometimes big stickers!)
Like my front door
Or my dining room
In my daughter’s room, I painted the 5 trollz; they’re about 12 inches high
That why I had the reaction. An entire wall is mind-boggling!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

Wow! Those are really pretty! The trees go really well with everything in your house! 😀 Maybe I’ll have you come over to decorate my place!!

January 31, 2008 at 11:23 pm #659758The doors remind me of the door to Moria… speak “friend” and enter. 😆 Very cool!
January 31, 2008 at 11:54 pm #659759Emerald, Lamortefille, you guys win!
The front door is the “white” tree of Gondor (yeah, yeah, now it’s turquoise) and the dining room tree is inspired – although deformed – from the entrance to the mines of Moria.

We have some wallpaper border that we want to put up, but we don’t know whether or not we should put it along the middle of the walls, or on the top next to the ceiling. Here is the wallpaper, and you kind of have an idea of how it will look, so tell me what you think will look the best!

I’d say middle of the walls. When my son was born, we put ours in the middle, level with the changing table and he did enjoy looking at it when he was old enough to look at things. That’s a beautiful border, by the way!!! 😉
