Hi, you could also buy the copper mother dragon from the same seller and you know you would get the black gold mother. Then you would have both. 🙂

I have the matching Copper Patina Male Dragon with red eyes, and my Copper Patina Curlie has red eyes too. I loved the red eyes, that’s why I got them. I believe they look better than the teal eyes for this color scheme.

My Oriental is like that, I do really like the extra attention to the individual scales. I think only the first batch was like that on each sculpt when it was first introduced.
I’d probably keep the Copper Patina too, she is a bit more special then the Black and Gold, but yea… i might let the seller know just in case the next buyer isn’t so forgiving of a mix up.

I did contact the seller, and they were grateful that I was understanding in the matter. They liked the idea I was willing to keep the one I received in error, and they apologized for the mix up. I may look at their other dragons now and see if they have any others that maybe they can give me a deal on 😉
I messaged the seller again, and asked them if they would consider giving me a good deal on the BG Mother, the one I had originally wanted. And even though I already left them good feedback, they still wanted to compensate for their error and told me they would love to give me a deal! They said to go ahead and place an offer on the BG Mother as they had just relisted it, and they said they would accept it, no problem! And they did not specify how low I should go !
They were asking $125 this time for her (was $105 last time). I initially offered $75 for her the first time, which was accepted… so since this was supposed to be a better deal, I offered $65, and they accepted within seconds of me offering this 🙂 I told them I was going to offer $50, but that I did not want to go too low as it didnt seem right, so I offered $65. They replied back to me and thanked me for this, and said they would try to get the right one in the box this time! 🙂
It is nice to have such nice people to deal with, those that go the extra mile. Its like a breath of fresh air ! There are just so many nasty unfriendly people out there…. its a pleasant surprise when a decent soul is encountered 🙂 The sellers name is auction-victoria , located in BC Canada. They do have a few more Windstones, if anyone is interested. And they all have “make an offer” as bidding options. They are great to deal with 🙂

I’ve bought a few things from this seller before. They’re always great to deal with. They had a couple of issues with their listing for the left and right hand-held dragon sconces, and I ended up buying the wrong one based on the pictures and not the description. The were super understanding and more than happy to send me the one I wanted instead. Then they thanked me for letting them know that the listings had been wrong so they could correct the second one. 🙂 They’re great people.
Congrats on the CP mother. There’s just something about the CP coloring that seems so “natural” on the dragon sculptures.
I’m really divided on copper patina haha. I love the warm hued ones, like this red eyed mother dragon. but i really, really dislike the ‘cooler’ ones with lots of green and duller copper color. I’m so scared to ever buy one [because i want a warm-hued one] but i’m worried if i do purchase one, i’m going to get a ‘cool’ colored one =P
