I adore them in the SK’s, but they don’t do as well for the Lap. I haven’t gotten to see them in an OW in person yet, but I think I would love them in the OW too. They’re such a wonderful effect! 😀

I don’t really like the Dichroic eyes in the Laps. I think it makes them kinda creepy looking. Dichroic eyes seem okay in the OWs and SKs, but I’d rather see them in person to make a choice. At this point, I can take or leave the special eyes.

I like the look in SK, but Laps just look weird. It’s distracting. Some OW look pretty spiffy with the dichroic eyes. A time and a place for everything I guess. 😉

I think it has to do with the size. The dichroic backing reflects best from a fairly flat surface, and the larger eyes (SK, OW…) have nice large, flatter eyes on the back.
Smaller eyes tend to be increasingly concave and I think you get a weird effect on those.

I love them in the Spectrals, the SKs, basically the larger dragons. I know if a Black Gold SK ever comes out, I, for one, would be extremely disappointed if the eyes were blue and not the dichroic eyes.

(Of course, I also am of the opinion that the BGs would have looked better with lavender eyes instead of blue, but that’s another topic in this forum somewhere, LOL! ;))

A large part of the allure of the SK (and the Spectrals, IMO), is the fact that the eyes themselves have such character by changing color no matter what angle you look at the dragon.

Those kind of eyes don’t do much for me overall, but every dragon I have liked them in was an OW or a SK 🙂

I like the dichroic eyes in all dragons. But my favorite eyes are still Spectral eyes. 😛
