Yup, if you’ll give me his name, I’ll tack it on.
(If anybody doesn’t know, for legal reasons, I host the black list on my forum, here.)
February 10, 2007 at 10:37 pm #537850I would definitely give them at least neutral feedback. The whole answering but not answering things shows that he knew that it wasn’t perfect and that his shipping would be too high, and he was avoiding telling you.
I would at least give him a chance to fix it though. Email him and ask him for a discount due to over-charging shipping and for the damage he didn’t report. If he doesn’t respond to this in a day or two, then give him the poor feedback.

Just PMed you SPark, although I don’t know if it’s really worth putting him on the black list since this is the only Windstone he has ever sold…
February 11, 2007 at 5:41 am #537852Well if he does decide to sell another windstone or another item we will know what to expect.
February 11, 2007 at 8:20 am #537853I advise contacting the seller before leaving negative or even neutral feedback – I know that they havn’t responded to your emails till now, but it is amazing what happens when people are threatened with anything besides good feedback – he might give you a partial refund. But the refund aside, just give him one more chance to help you before you leave the feedback.

-J R R TolkienFebruary 11, 2007 at 3:43 pm #537854I would leave neutral stating *Not in mint condition, no communication, excessive shipping charges*
Lets not forget tho that it is Shipping & Handling. Maybe part of the $24 was getting to the post office, buying one of thier overpriced boxes and bubble wrap or what not….BUT he should have stated this in the auction. The seller doesn’t seem like a great one!! Atleast it got to you in one piece.
February 11, 2007 at 3:48 pm #537855Well, I just left neutral feedback and I don’t think I was too harsh in my comment: “item as described, shipping overcharge”. I’m not going to bother trying to get a partial refund, to me it’s just not worth the agravation.
I admit, I did not contact him before leaving the feedback, but 3 emails without response is my limit. He had a chance to do the right thing when he charged me for the shipping in the first place and he got greedy. I don’t see that I owe him anything.
This was a confusing issue for me because I am happy with the item, however after thinking about it and getting your feedback, I made up my mind that it just wasn’t enough and I, or any other buyer, should not have to put up with this kind of behaviour. A good buy is nice, but the rest of the shopping experience is important too.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback guys! 🙂
February 11, 2007 at 8:27 pm #537856np, glad you figured it out. Yes, I think ppl should count the whole shopping experience….
If they answer questions in the beginning (in a timely manner), keep you posted on when they are going to ship your item (if there is a tracking number), answer your emails at the end of the sale (espically if it arrived broken) and if something happens then they should try to make it right. -
