I can’t stand these networks taking shows off the air right in the middle to end of a first season. For pity sake, the Eastwick season was likely only a few weeks away from wrapping, just let the darn season end and then don’t pick it up for a second season. I liked this show (which is saying something since so much on TV has gone to the dogs; like if it’s not a ‘love or sex’ reality show, they won’t produce it). Now, according to various sites (including ABC), they’ve axed it. This keeps happening to things I like and it’s ticking me off! 👿 🙄 :shout: :shout: :shout: :shout: :shout: :shout: :shout: :shout: The F/X network as been a great offender for me lately having squashed Dirt and The Riches. Nip/Tuck is likely to follow and I love me my Julian!It’s bad enough that all networks with all shows have cut seasons down to the bare bones. It use to be that a season would be about 20 or so episodes long. Now we get what, like 9 shows for an entire season? And what’s with this “mid season finale” crap?! Everyone’s greedy and they don’t do diddly for the shear pleasure of their craft anymore. Besides, their salaries are way out of proportion compared to the people in the world that really deserve that kind of money like doctors and people who make the world a truly better and safer place.

Oh I know how you feel. Most shows still get 22 episode seasons (when you have bought as many tv boxed sets as my husband and I do you know the normal season length). The latest one I’ve been ranting over more than hubby was Dresden Files on the Sci-Fi channel (I refuse to type the new name out). I actually stopped watching the channel for a while (at least a year) after that. Hubby tends not to get into most shows for two reasons: 1) he works a panama schedule (on two, off two, on three, off two, on two, off three … repeat) so it’s hard for him to watch something every week. 2) whenever he really gets to liking a show it usually has a very short life span (i.e. Dresden Files, Dead Like Me, Kindred, Point Pleasant, American Gothic to name a few).
Oh! I loved Dead Like Me! That was an awesome show. I wished they had kept Rebecca Gayheart though. Still in all, I adore “George.” I was pleased when they came out with the mini movie that tied up loose ends- like seeing “Reggie” grow older and meeting “George” and understanding, etc.
Okay, so according to the Sunday paper which brought the TV guide with it, there *is* a new episode of Eastwick coming up this Wednesday. So hopefully they are finishing up the season. However, I’ve read way too much that the show is in fact, canceled. So I highly doubt there will be a second season. While this does bum me out very much, at least they have the decency to finish the season they started. No boycotting ABC for me-this time!
Would be nice if ABC would move Flash Forward to Wednesday night though. There are too many 8pm shows on Thursday nights for me to handle (no, I dont have TiVo or the like). We watch Survivor, our guiltiest pleasure. And we tape Vampire Diaries and Flash Forward. Bones is left out in the cold and we love that show (have watched it from the beginning and have always hoped that though the show is somewhat based on Kathy Reichs in a sense, that, while brilliant, we hope she isn’t really that socially inept; dumbest smart person on TV). We decided to tape Flash Forward instead of Bones because there is a better chance for encores or repeats of Bones in the off season, on TNT. Everything would be perfect if they would just move one show from 8pm Thursdays, to any other night!

This is the first I am hearing about Eastwick and it saddens me too, I liked that show!!
Flash Forward I also like and Trauma is also good, I stopped watching Survivor hubbys still does though, I just cant handle it anymore, even what i did watch it I refused to watch it live I always had to PVR it so I could fast forward through all the camp BS, I watched the games, and the voting, 45 minutes down to like 10, LOL.
On a side note I lurve my PVR and could not live without it, LOL.
We have Thurs get together days here. Everyone comes over and we watch major showages on Wed and Thurs. What I don’t get about myself (but others do it too so I don’t feel too bad! 😳 ) is that for a show I love such as Survivor, how I/we can scream at the cast and bitch about the show so much as it’s happening! Like this season, I cannot stand Russell at all! Hate him! Or his “character” at least since I don’t know him. He started out belittling women so much it boiled me. But personally, I don’t think people who are already millionaires should get to play this game. They don’t need the money. Now, this is just my opinion. But many people that play this game, they could really use the money, of which will change their lives drastically. Russell already being a multi millionaire oil tycoon- this money won’t mean anything to him, or change his life like it would someone else. I don’t respect his game play. I respect sneaky but *his* kind of sneaky is personally disrespectful. I don’t like to hear people blatantly saying women suck and are worth nothing and are all stupid biotches only meant to serve your evil plan.
Plus, it’s so obvious he’s an attention-whore more than anyone else. He keeps finding those damn idols (Survivor needs to hide them better- c’mon! Three times in a row?!) and telling cameras he isn’t going to tell anyone. But the showman and egoist in him immediately sends him off to boast about his find. Love how he had to throw away the first 2 idols though. They need to blind side him carefully and when they do, the whole living room will erupt in happy glory!

Okay, so I’ve been searching the net for info about the finale only to read that tonight was supposedly the last episode- ever. The actual final 2 episodes have been shelved with Ugly Betty now stepping into this time slot next week.
I despise when I love a show and it gets such shoddy treatment. Perhaps the show would have done better had it aired properly and not aired about every other, or every 2 weeks! And now they go through an entire season, and don’t even bother to give us a proper finale?! Screw ABC! If tonight’s show was indeed the last ever, it opened way more questions than it answered. Course, the reason for that could have been the assumption there would be another season and it would have made for a nice cliff hanger. However, there are supposed to be 2 other episodes past this one tonight- but it’s my understanding they are permanently shelved and not to be seen.
Maybe I can find them online somewhere but not counting on it. I’m just cheesed and spouting off because I did like the show very much and I don’t like to hang in the lurch like this. TV is not what it was when I was younger. This mid season finale everyone is doing is bogus. And seasons use to be 22+ episodes long and now you can fit at least 2 seasons worth into what use to be one season. Six or 12 episodes does not a season make. For whatever reasons, somehow I feel greed fits into this. That industry, seriously, they make enough money! Now wonder reality TV is taking over and running rampant!

Yersh!!! NCIS and NCIS – LA. I’m also getting into “Big Bang Theory”. I hate to say it but in lots of places it is sooooooooooo my hubby *rolls eyes* :yes: 🙄 XD XD

LOL I call my son Probee if he does something Mcgee would do. But then again, mostly I compare the kids to the characters of Stand By Me…There are 4 of them, and they fit so well! 😆
Warning: I’m plastered as I post this—It’s too bad that shows that probably make some sense and are entertaining are being axed!!!! I mean, did they have bimbos and vicious going ons and such? Probably why they were axed because these mindless, stupid-arse reality shows provide such! The stupidiest people at my work watch this sh*t! Dumb mfers! So for your own satisfaction, eat some blackeyed peas this New Years [rumors have it that brings good luck and prosperity] and if nothing else–fart on them! 😈 XD
