Had a MASSIVE dust storm yesterday. You can watch a video some guy made here. It just encased everything with dust. It looked liked I was living in a plume of smoke. I had a hard time breathing because of it. It left the thickest layer of dust on EVERYTHING that I have ever seen. You could see everywhere that the client’s dog or I walked. And if I threw the ball for the dog, when it bounced, the ground just POOF’ed with a mini bomb-like cloud.
Thankfully, some yard guys came this morning and blew it all away.

      Fun times.

I just watched the video. That looked awesome! It would be a pain to clean up all that fine dust though. We haven’t had a dust storm like that in Melbourne (Australia) since 1983 (I was less then a year old then so I don’t remember it). I am surprised we haven’t had one in so long as we have had 12 years of drought so everything was super dry. Lucky we have had some rain this year, though I don’t know if it is just a wet year or if the drought is over. Hopefully it is over otherwise we will have to have dust baths instead!

Found out it wasn’t just dust. It had clay in it too, so when it hit your car, it stuck. My truck was thankfully in the client’s garage, and my bike is always in my garage… so I managed to miss having dirty vehicles.
The cars that got hit with it though look like someone just dumped buckets of wet dirt over their cars.

I’m wowing too. It’s awesome in the true sense of the word, like tornadoes.
