Oh, man! I SO live in fear of having that happen to me with all the cats here. Hopefully he can be fixed without too much trouble!
July 9, 2008 at 7:06 pm #721304Well, even if I had wanted to sell him, I can’t with a repaired horn. So maybe I’ll just seal him and put him on a higher shelf so that the horn isn’t noticeable… I think that’ll be the less painful way.
Thanks everyone for the tips and words.July 9, 2008 at 9:11 pm #721305Well, here’s some photos of him… for those who would like to see his colors. He does have some of that magic paint on him… on the back of his wings and on his neck frill/gill things. I was going to put a stone in his tail… a nice pink one that reflected blue… because the dragon is pink and has some blue interference on him. But no point in that now.
Oh well.July 9, 2008 at 9:12 pm #721306I think he’s beautiful. I bought a painted Keeper that had its horn damaged and repaired…as long as you say up front that the horn broke and was fixed, you still might be able to sell it. I adore my Keeper, regardless of the damage.
I think yours is just beautiful.
July 9, 2008 at 10:19 pm #721307He’s still really pretty!!! π
July 10, 2008 at 5:07 am #721308WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!?
I dropped another. His eyebrow shattered.
What is wrong with me… I’ve never dropped a pyo ever before and then two in a row.
… I’m never going to go out into the garage again to spray these. I’m just going to do in the bathroom or something. I have to move them after spraying in the 100 degree+ garage to keep from the spray fogging… I’m so mad right now…I should just stay clear away from pyos from now on.
July 10, 2008 at 5:09 am #721309Oh no! π

What a bummer! π Here’s hoping it’s out of your system now for the rest of your life! π
July 10, 2008 at 2:11 pm #721312π It usually happens in threes…. π Hope it’s only two in this case. How dissapointing. I’m so sorry!

Here’s hoping!
July 10, 2008 at 7:44 pm #721314π― Oh, that’s very bad luck, Kuj! I’m sorry to hear that.
The one pictured above is beautiful!
July 10, 2008 at 8:05 pm #721315That is such bad luck! The colors on the guy you pictured is really pretty…
July 11, 2008 at 4:50 pm #721316That’s awful that you dropped two in a row π₯ π₯ π₯ ! The pink guy is very beautiful, and I’m positive he would sell if you fixed his horn and disclosed he was repaired . Apoxie sculpt is an awesome medium that I am now just dicovering thanks this forum. A little time spent and patience and he could be as good as new π .
July 11, 2008 at 7:07 pm #721317Well… since I have two dragons in need of repair now, if anyone wants to repair them (or just one, the pink one isn’t a huge problem… the other’s missing eyebrow is a BIG problem), let me know. It would be a waste for the one to never be finished, and although the pink one still displays nicely… I can always see his lack of a horn when I feed my fish π
They wouldn’t need to be painted… just repaired… -
