About my “Dragons for Animals” program: I am sickened by the high numbers of euthanized animals these days due to the economy and just the horrible facts of life… but I want to help those numbers decrease. I do have the maximum number of animals in this small house without sacrificing their well-being, but at least I can donate money. I’m painting a series of dragons to be auctioned and 100% of the winnings to be donated to local animal rescue groups. This project also includes selling prints and originals of my dragon artwork. (Someday I will get my website up to make purchases much easier, in the meantime if you’re interested in helping please PM me)
This is what’s going on in my area (which I can bet is not much different than most places around the country): http://www.toacorn.com/news/2010-10-28/Pets/Ventura_County_Animal_Shelter_unveils_halfprice_ad.html

November 14, 2010 at 9:38 pm #831632That’s really nice of you, my mom volunteers with a cat rescue called Pink Paws in the Simi Valley Petsmart and it seems for every cat adopted another 3 people are wanting to give up there cats. Difficult times for our beloved furry friends, that’s for sure. Thank you for your support and awareness. :hi:

So awesome of your mom! I wish I had the time and freedom to volunteer too. Does Pink Paws have a website? I’d like to add them to my list of rescues to donate to 🙂
BTW… I can’t believe there’s someone on here who is so nearby! Very cool 🙂

THANK YOU for any money you donate, anything and everything helps. You can write off the donation, the tax ID information is on the website. I have some PYO’s I would like to start and sell for donations but my dad and I are still trying to learnhike to use the airbrush.
We live pretty close, we should try and meet up sometime 😉
BTY, remembered your other posts, how is your sister doing?November 16, 2010 at 12:16 am #831635My sister is doing much better… still in a neckbrace and awaiting two inner ear surgeries. She can’t hear right now… fractured the bones in her inner-ear. 😕 Crazy.
