At least I’m not the only one who thinks water is yarky. (yeah I made that word up, lol) I’ll try the crystal light stuff though, if I hate it, I’ll give the rest to my brother, he loves that stuff. C’mon rain!!!! It’s too hot, even the cat is hiding!
May 27, 2008 at 5:34 pm #708018Its hot here too. We just went out for a walk and of course I had to wear jeans because none of my shorts fit me (still fat from being pregnant). I cant turn my ac on because I can’t afford the electric bill so I have a fan on. 😥
May 27, 2008 at 5:34 pm #708019There’s lost of other options besides the crystal light too. I looked into it because I was worried about my son’s sugar intake making him “hyper” so I swapped out his juice with the crystal light stuff. It didn’t make a bit of difference though, so he got the juice again and I got to drink the crystal light stuff which is one of the only ways I’ll drink water.
May 27, 2008 at 7:04 pm #708020AGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (seriously pissed)
So my OB called, the stupid lab mixed up my bloodwork!!!! they sent it to (somewhere where it wasn’t supposed to go!) and now they have to get it to the right lab and run it there!! So I won’t know untill tommorrow!!!!!!!!! This is ridiculous, my OB is so pissed, she said she ripped into them! of all the things to misplace!!!!! I’m so frustrated!!! (sorry for the vent!)May 27, 2008 at 7:07 pm #708021That bites, what a stupid mistake. Rant all you want. 🙄
May 27, 2008 at 7:08 pm #708022Powerade…not Gatorade…has electrolytes in it and we’ve used it to help with dehydration while vomiting. It really seems to help. Get any color but the red though, the red dye upsets the stomach sometimes.
*hugs* take care and hang in there…it really stinks that they’ve goofed with your bloodwork…I HATE waiting. 😕
Hopefully they’ll get news to you quickly. 🙂May 27, 2008 at 7:21 pm #708023😯 😯 😯 Sent it to the wrong place? I’d be upset too! 👿 (‘Secially ’cause I HATE waiting) Hang in there and feel free to rant all ya want. I’m right there with ya! 😈

May 27, 2008 at 7:33 pm #708024If you’re really nauseous, try the seasickness wristbands. There are also pregopops I’ve heard.
I’ve been lucky. I’ve been pregnant 5 times and only had morning sickness with my daughter. The rest were boys. So I think you’re having a girl 😉May 27, 2008 at 8:05 pm #708025If you like ginger, try grating a little fresh ginger root into ginger ale. Ginger is very good for nausea. I’ve used that remedy a couple of times, from being seasick to when I’ve had stomache viruses. It really does work.
Another alternative to the water dilemma is seltzer with lemon. NOT club soda; there’s too much sodium in that. You can pick up flavored seltzer, or plain and just add a lemon wedge or chunk.
May 29, 2008 at 12:31 am #708026So, my Ob finally got my lab work and called me today. She said that the HCG increased, but didn’t exactly double like they wanted it to, so I had to go for an ultrasound. Of course that made me panic, and I called all the u/s places untill I could get someone to do it today. I lucked out with the hospital I used to work for and they squeezed me in. My husband hurt his neck yesterday, and had a dr’s appointment at 345, So when the u/s woman said to come in, he went to his dr, and I drove over to my Mom’s so she could go with me because I didn’t want to go alone. Zack said he’d meet me there, which was fine. Mom and I got to the hospital, and registered and waited for like ever, Zack called to say he was on his way. Of course, they called me in for my u/s shortly after that. The tech was really nice, but she wouldn’t show me the screen, so I was panicking. Mom gave me little nods of encouragment, and the lady had me hold really still for a while. Expecting the worst, I was trying to be relaxed. Finally, she swiv;ed the screen for me to see, and THERE WAS MY BABY!!!!! AND…. !!!!!!! how awesome is that!!!!!! I was crying, cause I was soo relieved. The tech said I was measuring bigger than the dates they thought I was, so that could explain the HCG level not doubling. As we were leaving the room, Zack was in the hall, he missed seeing by like 2 minutes, turs out he was stuck in the elevator, it wouldn’t stop on the right floor and noone would tell him where the stairs were, poor guy. But I got the biggest hug!!!!!! So now, the Dr. will call me tommorrow, and we still have our appointment on the 2nd, so Zack will be able to see then. I’m so excited and relieved!!!!! I had to share with you guys!!!!
