Wow, I agree with everyone…that griff is awesome!! Tell us about the ones on your shoulders, please. Your outfit is wonderful, too. Looks like a good time! 😀

That griffin is AMAZING!!! 😮
Yep the man I talked to was older with glasses 🙂 He has brought an impressive amount of Windstones this year.
The Griffin was made by Laura Reynolds. I posted some of her other work in other threads. Usually she is stand offish and seems shy but this year she was so nice and friendly 😀 She has some wonderful pieces in the silent auction which is where I got this griffin. The griffins on the shoulders are also made by her. They are wearable griffins.(that is not me in the picture) I dressed as a Anubis Priestess.
She makes beautiful Dragons as well along with pegasus and unis. http://www.prism-studios.orgDragon-Con is amazing! I met and got pictures with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy! There is something for everyone there. Huge Anime sections, zombies, Starwars, Star Trek, Buffy the vampire slayer, Twilight, belly dancing, ravers, and concerts. They have guest actors and authors. Last year I met Peter S. Beagle who wrote The Last Unicorn. This year I met Charlaine Harris who writes the Sookie Stackhouse novels (True Blood)
I had a blast but now I am sick again 🙁
This is me =)September 8, 2009 at 6:08 pm #782453It’s really cool and your costume looks great 🙂
September 8, 2009 at 6:43 pm #782454I’m glad to see she finally put up a Web site! I’ll have to explore it later.

EDIT: Pics seem to be down at the moment. They were good though! 😉

😉
Seriously, you’re beautiful AND you have a beautiful new griffin! It’s gotta be huge as those are turkey wings… which *I* used in the making of my fursuit and I ain’t exactly tiny, yanno? Incredible finds. *jealous*
Windstone collector in remission. 😉
September 8, 2009 at 8:55 pm #782458I love DragonCon!! It’s been a while since I went. Maybe next year.
Did Laura Reynolds make any of your griffins? The smaller ones look a lot like a shoulder Osprey griffin that she made for me recently. 😉

Maybe a group of forum peeps need to go for next year! 😀
Oh no! You have con-plague! I know someone else who just came back from Dragon*Con and is sick as well. Always sucks. 🙁 Looking at her site, Laura’s gryphons and work is quite reasonable and very nice.
Beautiful costume btw! I love Anubis. 🙂

September 9, 2009 at 12:53 am #782460Thanks for the website and I’m glad that the artist is starting to loosen up a bit and be more friendly. She does beautiful work and on her website there is a link for Bird of Prey Rebah that will be coming soon, so she is an animal lover like the rest of us. Between Windstones and Jennifer’s site, I am going rapidly broke! :spank: 🙄 😈 XD

I have never heard of this event??DragonCon has been around since 1987. It is one of the largest (if not THE largest) multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music and film in the US.
Jennifer was there last year (or the year before) with some PYOs that she had painted.
they have been around ALMOST as long as Windstone!!September 9, 2009 at 5:22 am #782462Oh wow, I like that griffin. And your costumes. Looks like fun!
