I just wanted to vent my frustration– I love the color green– and my favorite hues are mostly organic greens, copppers, browns and dark blues etc–
why oh why do my dragons keep coming out pink and purple???
My lastest dragon- which I will post pics of later tonight or tomorrow– was supposed to be blue and white (a practice for my moms mothers day gift)— but as soon as I finished with the first coat of blue– it dried more of a purple than a blue— and so the colors that complimented it were a teal and a lighter purple color… grrrrrrr
Someone PLEASE send me some organic color vibes or something– I can’t take another girly girl dragon!!!
Not that there is anything wrong with those colors– they are just not me– but then again I’m painting it to sell it– soooo its not that big a deal– I know it will be liked— I need to go buy some different paints I think– maybe broaden my organic hues some!I am not really complaining– just more of a joke between other artist whom I know have this very thing happen to them occasionally 😉
Who is sending these pink and purple vibes– is it you ski???February 24, 2007 at 1:05 am #489808February 24, 2007 at 1:10 am #543056Ski and Cheryl LoL

February 24, 2007 at 4:13 pm #543059haha- ski
get– out– of— my– mind!!! 😆
here is the pics 🙂
The base color is actually blue– but it looks more purple… accents in teal and a lighter purple which actually looks a bit pink. Then I washed her in a white shimmer paint– to make her look ‘frosty’ (which is what the poem is about).
February 24, 2007 at 4:16 pm #543060Aw, it reminds me of a easter egg. 😀
February 24, 2007 at 4:18 pm #543061Easter egg! Thank you, dragoness – I was trying to find an appropriate comparison. 😆
This is a general question, but do interference paints always turn out a shiny product? I’m sure this girl looks good IRL, but it’s hard to tell shiny colors from one another on the pics.February 24, 2007 at 4:20 pm #543062Very very nice! I love how pearly it looks!
*on an off note…God that second picture is funny…look how cross-eyed he looks! ha!*
Anyway back to the dragon…I really like the random different colored scales, its a neat touch.February 24, 2007 at 4:24 pm #543063Greater Basilisk wrote:Easter egg! Thank you, dragoness – I was trying to find an appropriate comparison. 😆

February 24, 2007 at 4:34 pm #543064😆 @ crossed eyes! I like it!! It looks dark purple to me. I like that you put different colors on the big scales. I have wanted to do that since I saw these koi-rins popping up. It looks nice!

That’s what I was thinking. It’s like the koi fish. They have different-colored individual scales, right?
