well I tried to get the patina back on– when that didn’t work I spruced up the copper tones and gold etc– brightened the colors on the flowers and tada!
I just decided to leave him as is because sometimes it is better to stop trying to fix stuff– I think he looks fine the way he is– but you can just keep painting and end up worse than if you would’ve just stopped!
So I had to take a deep breath and put him down 😉
mipaYep, sometimes you have to take a break and then come back to it before you decide you really like it.
He looks gold now! I love it. Very cute. Im not totally sold on the flowers, but they are cute and it different.

He looked quite a bit different when he had the patina– it was supposed to be like a metal statue that had been left outside– and the flowers grew up around him— but as you’ve read it didn’t turn out that way.
oh well- I like him. He must have wanted to be that way cause he fought me on everything!

mip😆 😆 Feisty critter, hu?? He did end up very nice so i guess he knew what he was about 😉
I think he’s cute. Putting the flowers on is a great idea. I’m curious to see how much he sells for.
