I would like to know what the dragon would look like on all fours… all feet on the ground, standing up! Would its back end be higher than the front??? 🙂

October 29, 2007 at 4:24 am #630212Heehee… a crouching dragon *coughfledgiecough*! Hmm… would we get a scaly butt too? 😆
October 29, 2007 at 6:35 am #630213I bet it’d be nuisance to cast.
October 29, 2007 at 12:16 pm #630214legs and underbelly would be a pain to sculpt for sure! But it would be neat! 😀
October 29, 2007 at 1:41 pm #630215Not asking for a sculpture… just a drawing would do… I am totally sure that sculpting one standing up would be a pain!
October 29, 2007 at 1:45 pm #630216Just a drawing? Yeah, now that you mention it, we haven’t really seen any standing dragons by Melody, have we.
October 29, 2007 at 1:49 pm #630217Yep! I would love to see what one would look like! 🙂
October 29, 2007 at 6:57 pm #630218It has been brought up for a sculpt but I think the decision was that it would be too heavy for the legs. A drawing would be neat though

I’ll put a drawing in my gallery when I find one, and get the @#$! scanner to work…
I usually have the rear end about the same height as the front, because the hind legs aren’t stretched out fully. I figure dragons would need allot of bend in them to be able to launch themselves into the air. They can’t take off by just flapping with wings that small. That’s why my dragons have such muscular hind legs.
I would like to do a standing dragon. The underside isn’t hard to sculpt, but it would need a seam line to part the mold. The belly would need some careful touching up after the piece is cast. The Oriental dragons are hard to cast because they are one piece molds without seam lines!October 29, 2007 at 7:30 pm #630220If the seem is on the back we can tell all out friends that he had to have back surgery. It’s a battle scar!!
October 30, 2007 at 1:30 am #630221In my husband’s parent’s house I noticed there was a print of yours on the wall in the office! It looks like an older pencil drawing of a dragon standing on all fours, though I think one leg is up. You should have seen me O.O! when I first noticed it XD Alas I won’t be back there again until Saturday so I can’t take a picture of it.

Mine … it takes pushing the button a few times before it desides to scan.
I have an idea for a sculpture but I am pretty sure you’d laugh at the idea… I don’t know what dragon would be best for it but… its a dragon getting ready to playfully pounce… tush in the air… all crouched down like a cat… I need to draw it… I have the idea in my head and now I need to get it on paper! 😛
I’ll be looking forward to your drawing of the dragon!!! 🙂
Thanks!!! 😀October 30, 2007 at 6:30 am #630223DantheDragon wrote:In my husband’s parent’s house I noticed there was a print of yours on the wall in the office! Please do, Dan! It doesn’t sound familiar…
