Yep… I went to a dentist the same day. (yesterday)

I am on antibiotocs (sp?) and I am getting it pulled next week. I have much more dental work that needs to be done. 🙁 I dislike going to the dentist… not only does it cost but I hate the sound of the drill. I know, I am silly.

I also hate the smell. All dentist’s offices seem to smell the same. The scent just makes me twitch. I hope you feel better soon.

Ouch…thats the worst…I hate tooth aches, I hope yours wasn’t too bad, its a good thing to went to the dentist…I’m not crazy about going to the dentist either, I have a really hard tome going just fro a cleaning… 😳

Hope things go well for you. If you hate the sound of the drill see if your dentist will let you listen to music to get your mind off the drill. I find it helps me at least a little, but the feel of the drill bugs me more than the sound.

I may have to try that the next time I go to the dentist… after having my wisdoms pulled, I’ve been scared of the drill sound…. (he hit a nerve and then kept going…. it took him an hour to remove that tooth…)

I never used to be scared of the dentist.

Then, while in the second stage of a root canal (cleaning out the innards of the tooth after the nerve has been removed) the dentist hit some live nerve tissue right down deep with the drill. Full blown out pain reflex, broke out in sweat, knees came up into foetal position, I burst into tears… the poor dentist was mortified! Managed to get myself under control fairly rapidly, being an adult and all, but I’ve never been as comfortable about going to the dentist since… can’t imagine why! :shrug:
