Jade is different than the emerald. If you look at the scratcher in the auction picture and compare it with this one from Astral’s Castle you can see that the auction one seems more bluish and is missing most of it’s highlights. The “jade” dragons are mistakes. There used to be an “emerald vs. jade” thread that explained it better.

I personally think the jade color is prettier than the emerald color. Not as flashy as emerald, but still very rich.

There are several regular dragons that seem to have been made in Jade…there’s the male coiled dragon, which is realatively common, the scratcher which has shown up a handful of times, and we’ve also seen ONE jade hatching empress. I hope another one of those pops up one of these days…

I haven’t seen a Jade IRL yet, but it looks beautiful on the Westerns (don’t think I prefer it on the Orientals). Maybe someday I can ‘try it out’ on a coiled!
