I am a kitty person too. I got a puppy last year that was half german shepherd/ border coilie… She looked german shepherd. She was a good puppy… but then the border coilie came into the picture. WOW! More dog that I could handle…I tried my best to train her and all but like I said, too much dog for me so I found her a new loving home.
You never know until you try. I tried and failed…
I think I’ll just stick to cats! 😉

No, it’s not. That dog will be moving with me.

No, it’s not. Thanks for your judgement. The bulldog I drove 10+ hours on my own gas to go get because she was going to be put to sleep in an animal control center in less than 24 hours. I sunk over FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS in vet work into her and potty trained her, put weight on her, socialized her, and now she’s ready for a new home. The German Shepherd was my own dog whom I can unfortunately not move with me because my mom has cancer and I need to move with her to take care of her. Thanks for the judgement skigod, I really appreciate it.

[/img]Appropriate pic. Seriously. How can someone go from bragging about how they just want to give the dog a good home and are so attached to it blah blah blah and a month later post it for adoption on a fantasy forum? I think that adoption lady had the right idea. I tell you, Tatt… you are on a roll. Perhaps I am being mean, but I am for people accepting responsibility for their actions: Keeping a pet they “rescue”, updating their own paypal account instead of expecting buyers to take a risk and send payment to an alternate account with no buyer protection, and perhaps not expecting a seller to pay for damages when the buyer tosses out the packing materials on an insured item. Everything with you seems to be someone elses fault, hu?
Edited to add: And your adoption fee of $150 on the bulldog… does that mean you had her spayed? cuz you never mentioned it. After the comment about selling dogs instead of adopting them out, I am just curious.
You know what? F you. I don’t care if I get banned from this ‘fantasy forum’. You don’t know my life! The dog I was talking about before is going to move and live with me and my DYING mother for God’s sake! The other one I pulled from an animal control center (the bulldog) and like the ad said she is fully vetted- Spay $225, shots, round 2, round 3- $150, frontline and heartgard that goes with her- $100, dewormed, negative heartworm tests, fecal tests, and more. Training on my time and my dollar. All so this dog didn’t die. I think $150 is MORE than reasonable.
As for the paypal thing- my auction was set up to the right account- she chooses to completely ignore my e-mails and send the money to a different account. If she would just click the ‘pay now’ in the invoice none of this would have happened. She can’t even send an e-mail to ask if she has questions- just ignores me and repeatedly sends money. Maybe I should just mosey on over to the bank and open a new checking account to link to that paypal account to make this buyer happy.

Even if it isn’t the same dog and you have to give up any of your dogs why not just give that one back to the rescue organization? Since they have a history with the dog it should be easier for them to find him/her a new home.
I have dogs and my mom has dogs. We are moving together so I can take care of her and there is a dog limit. I can only bring one. Lonesome the bulldog I got for the sole purpose of saving her life- getting her socialized and vetted, and finding her a new home. Unfortunately now time is crunched. Greta and Rusty are the 2 shepherds. Rusty is the rescue dog I am keeping. Greta I cannot keep because she lacks manners and is very pushy and can easily knock my ill mother down.

i understand the whole imuno supressed thing seeing as how i am as well; with animals and all but i was told that dogs are much safer to be around than the cat i have and i had a Sheaperd , i dont understand why the sheapard cant go with you but other dogs can . is it lack of space since they are big ?? im just trying to understand the logic seeing as how i have a list of animals that i cant be around dogs not being on it ..actually they are the safest from what my TX doc says

So why not keep the dog that you have had the longest? Why not give the other dog back to the recuse organization that you WRONGFULLY took from it?

By asking for an “adoption fee: it looks like you are trying to make a quick buck, and coupled with the whole BS over the cat wizard, which I fully believe you are only upset it didnt go over the 250 mark, it looks even more like you are trying to sell your dogs for a quick buck.
Talk about a run on sentence, LOL.
Rescues around here are full to the brim. It’s not about the money. I would give them away if I could find a good home. There is a lot of dog fighting going on and being the breed the bulldog is if she is free she will be picked up for that.
As far as the cat wizard- if the stupid lady could have e-mailed me ONCE to tell me she didn’t understand instead of repeatedly sending paypal this would all be resolved. She was more than welcome to send paypal to the correct e-mail by pressing the pay now button in the invoice or to send a money order.
May 21, 2008 at 2:14 pm #705140As far as the whole ebay thing you got owned plan and simple. The seller sent you money through paypal AND ebay. You are just upset that it didn’t sell for what she had originally offered you. I have a shovel in my shed would you like me to go get it for you so you can dig your hole deeper?

this went through my mind…dogs are social animals. The one you’ve had the longest will have the hardest time adjusting to a new family. why take the newest dog with you? ❓
May 21, 2008 at 2:15 pm #705142Alright…I was trying to be light-hearted with most of what I said. I am sure I will get nabbed for this, but you need to check yourself Tatt. 👿
I don’t think you came in here making too many friends, and you haven’t been here as long as some of the others.
I personally don’t have anything to hold against you.(I jsut stated my stand on my own pets. My mother is VERY allergic to cats, but even if I had to move in there, I would do my best to hang onto them no matter what. And she would try her best too help me do so…For me.) I am sorry for your mother’s problems. 🙁 But, coming here and flaming people won’t make them better. 😕 You need someone to talk to about the issues in your personal life, find someone. As for the ebay thing, I don’t know you from adam on there, so I don’t have much to say. But, you did tell her 48 hours…*shrugs* She still had time to get it straightened out, and so did you. 😐

Now, I don’t care who you are…That’s funny right there!! 😆 😆
(Only because I have used it before too…Not the shovel, the saying. 🙄 )

Always make sure before taking an animal into your home, that it can have a permanent home with you. Although I know unexpected stuff happens, to everyone…these two situations are uncomfortably close together for it to look like a responsibly handled situation.
At that point I didn’t intend on ever moving in with my mom- I’m an adult. Well, we also never thought she’d get a cancer diagnosis or we’d have the short amount of time the doctors are giving her.

I can take one dog- it’s an apartment and my mom already has two. The bulldog was a rescue, only meant to rescue and find a home for. The other two are shepherds one a mix and one a purebred (mix discussed in other thread). The mix I am keeping. The purebred I/we decided should be the one to find a new home because she’s younger and better socialized, and also because she is very pushy and will knock my sick mom over easily.
