June 9, 2008 at 5:55 am #710841Messy painter? I think not! She looks fine – everything below the head does, I mean. The heads looks… creepy.
June 13, 2008 at 4:03 am #710842June 13, 2008 at 4:05 am #710843Oh wow! She looks funky (but in a good way π ). Has she forgiven you now?
June 13, 2008 at 4:06 am #710844She’s fabulous!
I’m pretty sure she’s forgiven you – that’s a great paint job. π
June 13, 2008 at 4:14 am #710845Ack! I love her!! The green/purple area is great, and I really like the silver hair and how you did that loopy area right(the red and pink bit-I can never paint that area π ) She’s adorable!
June 13, 2008 at 5:07 am #710846Yes she did forgive me! That is a long story though… After I glued her eyes back in, she demanded that I place her in front of a mirror. She ruffled her feathers, and turned around and around in front of the mirror, and squeaked in joy! She loved it….unfortunately however I tried to place a metal loop in her beak, and it was okay except that I had to close the gap in the loop and, well her beak broke off!!! She couldn’t exclaim how angry she was, so she just glared at me….and glared…boy it was hard to look at. I had to peel off some paint on her beak, and I had to use some apoxie sculpt and super glue, and I fixed her beak. My angry muse tried to express her frustrations, but I told her that if she wanted her beak painted the way it was prior to the accident, then she’d have to shut up! She obliged, and she has now forgiven me a second time after I got down on my knees to apologize. Phew! What a saga!
Eleu..I am so glad you love the pink and red part because it was SO HARD to paint! I have so many layers of paint on that area it isn’t funny! π (and here I am laughing π π )
Well, Pegasi..I’m glad funky is good! π
June 13, 2008 at 5:20 am #710847Nice! I love the way you brought her to life. That’s a nice pendant.
June 13, 2008 at 3:52 pm #710848Awww, she looks lovely! I really like the blending on the scales on her back side (the yellow/orange/reddish colors). Very nice!
June 13, 2008 at 5:39 pm #710849I just keep looking at her, I really love her. Got three blanks looking at me with those silly eyes, and one in progress. Mine seem to be very well behaved, though the are all clammoring to know what colors they are going to be!
June 13, 2008 at 9:04 pm #710850Your story with your muse, Eaglefeather, reminds me of my last pyo I did. Chip the dragon had one folly after another incluing getting chipped, losing his eyes, crappy paint and sealent that wouldn’t dry π . In the end though I find its very hard to ‘mess up’ a pyo, they always seem to pull through and are very forgiving π . By the way your muse is addorable π .
June 13, 2008 at 9:07 pm #710851π What an adorable muse. Very vocal too. Poor thing loosing her eyes then her beak…..
I really like how you painted her.

Ah yes, I remember your dragon! I have meant to compliment on it, but have yet to, but I do love your dragon!!
Thank you everyone for your compliments!!
Eleu, a childhood tease comes to mind: ” If you love it so much, then why don’t you marry it!” π

She insisted that muses and baths don’t go together. I said that we needed to get some paint off of her. She put up quite a struggle, but I overpowered her and gave her the bath anyway…..now she wont talk to me. πHelp me so she’ll forgive me!!
Aww, the photo’s gone. I wanted to see. Sounds funny.
I just use the really thick white craft glue that comes in the brown-gold colored bottle. About a drop’s worth spread around on the statue surface, press the eye in, and wipe down any glue that poufs out the corners before it dries. Works like a charm.
