I didn’t mask mine. I just tried not to get paint on it.

Do you use a spray finish?

    #542592

No, I paint on the finish.

If you paint the finish don’t worry about it, the paint comes off easily with a bit of water.

Has anyone used masking on the kirin horn? Will masking hurt the finish? I masked mine and now I’m worried about taking it off.

Fluid or tape? I’ve masked the Kirins horns before with both masking fluid and masking tape. Neither hurt the horn. When you’re ready, the rubberized mask (or tape) peels away without taking the finish off.

I’ve used both masking fluid and tape before as well, and neither did any damage. 🙂

Oops! Typing hickup! That was to be masking fluid. Thanks for the info (and the relief)!
