Congrats, PhoenixTears. That’s good news.
August 7, 2007 at 8:20 am #605689Very good news. I am glad it worked out. 🙂
August 7, 2007 at 4:56 pm #605690I am glad she is doing the right thing. You might want to make sure that she gets the money order from the post office because people can make fakes of the other ones.

I think if I contacted her again, her head might explode. Im giving her the benefit of the doubt (again) thtat her mom is infact recovering from a stroke. Nicole will of course, take whatever kind of money order she sends, right to the bank and cash it rather than deposit it. She had offered to pay any way she wanted but thought better of PayPal b/c of fees. PP was her initial choice but she remembered fees and didnt think I should incur them. We’ll watch closely. I dont think after this initial bump in the road with the Flion, that she’d be stupid enough to screw up the refund. That would be 2 huge infractions she would make and then the reporting would spread well beyond eBay.
So, we’ll see what happens. I’ll give her this chance.
Thanks again for the support and I’ll update ya!August 7, 2007 at 6:16 pm #605692I had an email on the email that is linked to my PayPal account… she paid refunded to that account, $55. Yea, they did PP fees but it wasnt much and all is acceptable. She folllowed it up with an email so theres no reason now to leave her anything but positive feedback. She maintained she didnt list it wrong intentionally and I dont think she did either for she must have known she’d be walking into this kind of issue.
Glad we can put this puppy to bed! All done and we’re satisfied. Now I just have to figure out how to repaint the flaws. Anyone that knows how to match that missing paint in those areas (see photos again), please let me know how to do it. I think Im comfortable doing the darker parts but the lighter buckskin like coloring on the haunches… not so comfortable knowing how to mix that up.
Thanks again all!
August 8, 2007 at 4:53 am #605693Congrats PT, that’s great!!
August 8, 2007 at 5:17 am #605694I’m glad that everything is settled now with your Flion and you don’t have to wait on a money order from the seller. It’s always nice when you get a seller who is willing to work with you like this one did. As for matching the paint colors I can’t really help there and I’m not sure if Melody and company would have touch up paint for the Flions anymore since they have been retired for a while. Might be worth sending her a PM asking though.
August 8, 2007 at 10:40 am #605695Oh well a happy ending at least and you got to keep the Flion as well!
I hope you are able to touch it up!
I Would love an Old Warrior one day.. any Old Warrior!
August 8, 2007 at 3:52 pm #605696That’s great news, PhoenixTears. I’m glad there was no hassle.

PT, that is great news. I am glad that she followed thru and that you are happy in the end.
Peg, I think it has been asked before about the Flion paint and they said they didn’t have any. I could be wrong tho.
August 9, 2007 at 12:47 am #605698Glad everything worked out for you
August 9, 2007 at 1:15 am #605699Thanks again for all the support. Even if they dont have touch up paint for hte lighter areas (Im more confident with the darker areas), Im sure I can work something out. When in doubt, Im banking that NAM can come up with a very similar concotion for me to mix.
Hey, let me ask (tho I did already), but have any of you, after dusting off and bathing your Windstones, have you ever re-top coated them? Id like to bring a bit of shine back to my old Blk Young Unicorn whom Ive had FOREVER. Ive shined up his horn but his body could use some matte top coat probably, I was wondering if anyone had done this???
August 9, 2007 at 1:29 am #605700I have resprayed my bat candlelamp after giving him a good cleaning and he turned out fine! Just make sure you cover the eyes and horn 😀
August 9, 2007 at 2:18 pm #605701I have a very old set of the siamese flapcats that I touched up and put a clear coat on. They look much better now: -)
August 9, 2007 at 5:45 pm #605702Glad everything came out well for you
