I have these two Laps and both are white. The one I just received is bright white. The other used to be.Is anyone elses turning colors with age?My original one was as bright as the newer one but now it is more champagne. I have kept her under glass or in the spare room with no smoke,or kitchen odors,as in cooking, etc.,nothing has gotten to her but sure nuff, she’s changing.Any thoughts on this? Thanks for your input.

As far as I know, we have not seen this before, except from smoke, but we may have used a slightly different formula for the white in the past or something. Keeping them behind glass will really reduce the U.V. exposure, so that wouldn’t be it. We can check our old samples to compare with the newer ones. How old is the first dragon?

I got it from a member back in 2010.It was just as bright white as the second then.I hadn’t noticed the change until today. Thanks for your input Mr.John.

I have a white mother dragon that I’ve had for around 8 years now and she seems to be yellowing with age too. She hasn’t been in any sunlight or had any smoke damage, either.

I have an old white hatcher and new white baby dragon. Even getting one of the “smoky” baby’s, its still brighter than our hatcher, so we have deffiently noticed it too.

The whites just vary. They were back in the day when, I guess, Windstone painters were less coordinated with each other and there were variances in color. Some have a “heavy gold” and some are bright white 🙂

I don’t think they change color. Some of the older white dragons had much more gold on them than the ones we are painting now. We have been intentionally trying to keep the white dragons looking WHITE.

Maybe it’s the clear coating aging? It was bright white.I remember when I opened it I was impressed about how bright white she was. It’s okay though.Just curious about it is all.

Mine has definitely gotten darker/more yellow in the time I’ve had her.

My white dragons have remained the same shade (minus any needed dusting periodically 😉 ).

I will add some are at least 16 years old and have only ever been in a non-smoking environment.

I just think they age according to how they are kept. Most of mine are repurchased whites of the forum or eBay none are really yellow looking an only one is real bright white. All mine are kept in air tight cabinets and have been the entire time. These are about 10 years old unless they are the newer ones that came out. Now to figure out how to post pictures here–oh well look in the for sale section here with no price because these are not for sale.

The photos from your “sale” ad (minus one duplicate). They will not go away if you take the ad down:

That’s a very fine collection of whites. 🙂
