Yes, that must be all it is. Between many of his scales, there is black staining. He didn’t seem to have much dust anywhere on him, and nothing was coming off on the paper towels, so I was having a time trying to figure out what it was!
Oh, and he smells like scented candles!! 😀 😀

My emerald is even more special to me than the others because he was the first Windstone piece I bought myself, and that happened almost 10 years after I had been given my first Windstones as gifts. I had called all the Green Earth stores in Ontario when I found out colors were retired and this lady in Sarnia drove him over to the store in Mississauga for me. I had dreams about him…
I used to have dreams about this one too. Actually, I used to have tons of dreams about the white mother before I got her. She was my first windstone. My relatives finally broke down and got her for my 8th birthday. I had originally wanted the emperor (back then he was green, not emerald), but they absolutely refused. So I turned my attentions to the white mother instead. But every christmas since, I have asked for an emp, and every time, they said no. I finally just gave up. I was heartbroken when the emerald was retired, I didn’t think I would ever get one then.
