My hands were shaking as I opened the box! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU DM!!! I’ve been half afraid to leave my house for fear something will happen to him while I’m gone 😯 I spent most of today carefully going over each of his scales with a paintbrush dipped in soapy water to clean him off. There’s dark stuff between many of his scales–I can’t tell if it is antiquing done on purpose by the Windstone painters, or if it is dirt or ciggarete tar or something (someone else with this piece would know, hint hint). It didn’t come off, but it does make the scales “pop” more, and I got the dust out of his ears and out from between his toes. Then I spent my evening sewing a giant dust cover for him out of bubblewrap. He must have been happy too to get out of that box. Some of the paint on his horns, forehead, and along his tail was rubbed off during shipping, but it should be easy to fix. He arrived in one pices, which is what really counts. Now I just need a hatching emp to go with him. That can wait though. This guy is more than enough to keep me satisfied. He is stunning in real life, and even bigger than my spectral! I love the jade color all along his sides, and the red eyes are killer! It has been over 10 long years of dreaming about this piece, and I finally, finally have it… Sometimes it feels too good to be true. I am really too obsessed with this dragon! 😀 *does happy dance*
EDIT: Yes, almost forgot about editing my list.. *goes to edit list*

July 11, 2007 at 3:36 am #598552Nice! I wouldn’t mind seeing that on my doorstep either!
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!

July 11, 2007 at 3:50 am #598554you are VERY WELCOME.
I now want to know what you family thinks of him???
I know he is in a VERY good home. I sent you a PM asking if you where going to post pics but you can forget about that since they are here. I’m not sure what I can do on the rest of the list but I’m glad I could help here.
I was wondering when you where going to get himJuly 11, 2007 at 4:00 am #598555My mom loves him and my sis is very jealous. Even my b/f is impressed, which is a hard thing to accomplish. I haven’t shown him to my dad though because he doesn’t like me spending money on Windstones. I know my cousin and aunt will both adore him, they are dragon fans like I am. It seems to run in the family.
July 11, 2007 at 4:03 am #598556Oh, and I just love how impressed this guy looks with himself. He reminds me of my pet pigeon, who is always strutting around with his neck feathers and chest all puffed out, trying to impress anyone or anything that might be watching.
July 11, 2007 at 6:32 am #598557Ooh, lovely 😀 He wears that emerald so well. Congrats! Good luck finding him a little hatching buddy.
July 11, 2007 at 8:34 am #598558Now he IS beautiful! You are making me want to buy an emp now 😕
July 11, 2007 at 9:43 am #598559He is stunning!! I want one! Congrats: -)

I’m not sure where you mean. Give me details and I’ll check it out for you tonight when I get home. I haven’t scrutinized my emerald emp this close for some time now, but I seem to recall dark creases in the neck.
I love my emperors. They’ve got an awesome presence to them. My emerald is even more special to me than the others because he was the first Windstone piece I bought myself, and that happened almost 10 years after I had been given my first Windstones as gifts. I had called all the Green Earth stores in Ontario when I found out colors were retired and this lady in Sarnia drove him over to the store in Mississauga for me. I had dreams about him…
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

July 11, 2007 at 12:47 pm #598562Wow, he is very impressive looking! 😯 Awesome color for that dragon… and those red eyes are killer!
July 11, 2007 at 1:06 pm #598563The emps sometimes seem to have heavier antiquing because of the texture of the scales. The emeralds were antiqued with a nearly black stain that sticks in the crevices. That may well be you ‘black stuff’. 🙂
