The payment methods says the seller accepts checks and money orders, but would you be able to write a personal check here in the states and send to Canada?

Edit: just noticed this fellow ain’t keen on shipping outside of Canada since it’s their only option in shipping locations. Good luck to them, I say.

How are you guys patient enough to go find these listings that are mislabeled? 😛

$75 with shipping. Nice catch, Wolfen.

This one was actually part of a group of 6. There was the spectral, the hatching emperor, a peacock wind wizard, this scratcher, and maybe a young peacock… I dont recall exactly. I was bidding on the lot, and was probably gonna win it, till this seller pulled the listing early to sell one of the pieces individually to someone else. I assume someone tipped them off on what they were and how much they were worth and bought the one he wanted from the lot. He ended up relisting this ONE piece for $175.00. He actually offered me what was left of the lot for $350, but shipping he quoted was $219.00. Communication is great, so I really would not worry about lack of feedback (We all started out there at one point and he communicated well with me) but I would get a shipping quote before bidding.

I’m wary of this seller. This seller had listed this item with some other peacock dragons and a wind wizard. They pulled it and relisted the scratcher. What I really don’t trust is the fact they only take Cheques or Western Union. I’ve dealt with sellers who take Western Union before, I don’t mind that much but, this seller is slightly shifty. I wouldn’t trust this person.

You and I already talked about this, but I won’t be buying from this seller for this very reason. I think that you should be allowed to pull auctions down for any reason if no on has bid yet, but you and another person had already placed bids and the auction had already been up for over 4-5 days WITH bids on it when he/she pulled the auction because he ‘sold one of the pieces to someone else’. That would be like me taking an order, having someone pay for the order (or at least dedicate to pay, because when you place a bid on eBay you are dedicated to pay that amount if you win!) then sell the piece to someone else.

I know I’m probably a little too gung-ho about selling ethics, but as someone that makes a living off of selling my work, I appreciate good sellers and prefer not to do business with folks that do things like this.

I was watching that auction too. At least it said it was canceled, I hate it when I’m bidding on something and it just disapears with out any explenation

Ooo, yikes! I’d be so mad! I’d write the seller a polite but irritated letter and report them to ebay for something. Maybe if you mention you’re a collector, and thus know about how much each piece weighs, direct him to a UPS calculator. If someone can ship an Emperor, lap, male, large wizard, scratcher, hatching empress, and fledgeling to Ash for roughly $50….shipping should be under $100, even with UPS.

I agree. Ebay has rules against inflated shipping prices. You can always report them. Unfortunately, you would probably have to pay for the shipping and then get a photo of the actual shipping charge on the box when it arrived. I’m not sure if Ebay could get you the money back or if they just punish the seller though. So it may not be worth it.

I am not going to deal with him. I will just put vodoo curses on all his auctions so they wont sell 😈 😆

I saw that one! 😉 If I liked peacock at all, I would’ve been competition for you. 😈

LOL she sent me an email saying it would be $25 to ship the scratcher to me on top of the $10 insurance and she will only take paypal. /sigh I still want it though lol.

you could always be totally evil and laugh in her face, but only if you wanted to be rude. Or you could tell her you know better, and will never bid with shipping at that price. Sometimes they come down, sometimes they don’t.

I can still get you one if you still decide to get one but don’t want to deal with her. I don’t know how long Windstone will have them though. I think I may just order one anyway. I can always Ebay it. Hmmm… that sounds like a good idea.

Well, its down to $90. $25 shipping is not too bad, but tell her that charging $10 for insurance is against Ebay policy and you request actual cost, which would probably be closer to $2.30.
