Has anyone heard from her since July?
Is she okay? Noticing quite a few members have been dropping off the face of the earth lately, what the heck is that about?
So if anyone knows, please let me know.
Thanks.
Kyrin
August 25, 2007 at 12:15 am #611455I’ve noticed that too. Several folks that used to be regular posters haven’t posted in weeks. Kind of surprised.
August 25, 2007 at 2:10 am #611456I have noticed that too. I know I haven’t been posting as much as I used to, but that has been a result of my pregnancy because I have been sick as a dog lately! 🙁
I hope everyone who hasn’t posted in a while is okay!August 25, 2007 at 2:19 pm #611457I can only hope that everyone is just busy for the summer and will return to us soon. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comAugust 25, 2007 at 2:49 pm #611458John says forum activity has been down to 50% during the summer. I’m thinking they’ll be back after vacation, maybe.
August 30, 2007 at 1:23 pm #611459I notice that when I have not been buying or dont have money, I tend to feel like I should stay away from the forums (not that I actually DO.) Its like I feel guilty about not buying stuff but still being here. Also, I know that when I come here, I want to buy more stuff, so for people who are trying to save or pay off bills, this is a real temptation. I think that may be why some folks stopped coming around for a bit. Hopefully they will be back. Does anyone else ever feel like that?
August 30, 2007 at 1:25 pm #611460I know that if I stayed away from the forum, I would save a lot of money. I think I only keep buying because of all the subtle encouragements here, and we keep seeing all the new stuff that’s on the way… But, like you, I never stay away for very long.
August 30, 2007 at 2:12 pm #611461Yeah. It’s a problem for me too. I never even collected until I became active here. I only had a couple of old griffin pieces: Griffin Candlelamp and Mother Griffin Gargoyle. And Tiger the cat (a gift from a friend from before I started selling too). Now I have lots of pieces (over 50 plus PYOs).
August 30, 2007 at 6:06 pm #611462I have tried to stay away…but then I keep on thinking…I know something is suppose to come out soon. And so I pop on here to check and then I never leave most of the times.
March 8, 2013 at 4:26 pm #894401Uhhh…. really late reply so I don’t know if anyone still around can read this or not, but I happened to find this while searching for myself on google. XD
Anyways, I still have all the windstones I’ve ever collected. I’ve just not added to the collection in a long time. I’m alive though!
I got out of the military in 2009, so I don’t have that delicious disposable income that I had before. I’m also in an apartment instead of a two story house, so the windstones that I have are just what I have and there’s really no room for more additions. I’m now a college student trying to figure out what the heck I want to do with my life at 29…
It makes me a bit sad that I never did get a secret keeper when I could. He’d go on the fireplace mantle very nicely. The only things missing from these pictures are a couple of unpainted pyos I bought and my black male griffin that is STILL at my parent’s house. I’ll have to go through my windstone paperwork to find out who is a regular run and who is a limited edition because I forget these things.
March 8, 2013 at 4:31 pm #894402Good to hear from you! Lots of folk seem to be participating “silently” 🙂
I’m now out of my home (my husband is divorcing me) and in a 2 bedroom apartment with my boys. And don’t worry about being 29 trying to figure out what to do with your life. I’m nearly 50 and am trying to do the same. What do you do when you’ve been a stay at home mum and out of the job market for 20 years with a college degree in Humanities in a tech based/govertment job area of the country? Especially with budget cuts going into effect and the first round of layoffs (3,000 jobs) started this week. Hang in there it’s gotta get better! And I’m glad to see you again!twindragonsmum 🙂

March 8, 2013 at 4:32 pm #894403Well, after reading this thread, I can tell you that several of the people are still around, and Windstone collecting is still going strong. There are supposed to be some more Secret Keepers in the works – just waiting until they can be properly packed for shipping – so you might get one yet!
March 8, 2013 at 4:48 pm #894404Welcome back, DarkLadyPhoenix
It is possible to enjoy the fellowship of Windstone fanciers without spending lots of money…not that I know from personal experience but I’m going to learn. I’m new to this website but I already am hooked on all the discussions, debates and silliness that shows up on this site (check out Caturday for non-dragon entertainment)not to mention all the imaginative and beautiful dragons, etc, you can see here!In reference to others: TDM – ouch! Good luck.
I’ve only been on this site a few months but I am an obcessive collectoholic and my friends and family are already telling me to stop logging into this site. Probably good advice but I’m not going take it.
