Base coated her in white, then drybrushed the pearl blue over her body, this allowed a bit of the white to show through a bit, giving her coat a more realistic look.
The dappling as it gets laid down. This is very slow going. First you make a few spots in white, I am then putting a pearl champagne color over the top, then you need to stiple the blue of her coat around the edges of the spots and in between them, this blends them in and helps them look more natural.
In the picture you can see the top spots are currently in the first step of laying it out in white, under those you can see the ones laid down and finished out a bit so you guys could see what it looks like when the effect is done.
I still have a lot to do, an then the legs need to be darker, and I plan to give her a blaze down her nose, and her mane and tail are going to be champagne.
This one will probably take me a few days.
Comments or suggestions are welcome.
More WIP pics will be forthcoming.
