I’ve finished my very first real animal plush* today! Heee! He came out so well!

http://bladespark.topcities.com/costume/foxplush3.jpgHe’s life size. A bit on the large size for a fox, really, as he’s 36″ if you include the tail. Eyes are glass, I couldn’t find plastic ones large enough with the slit pupil. (If anybody knows of a good source for animal eyes that carries something other than regular round bear eyes, that’d be great!) Anyhow, I made him all by my little self, with no pattern or anything. Though I’ve saved the shapes I came up with, so I can replicate him if I need to.
He was a bit of an experiment, and could probably use a tiny bit of tweaking, but I think he turned out very well, so I’ll now be taking plush commissions now, which I hope will be a fun little sideline to the costume/fursuit thing.
*Loonakits don’t count, really.

December 11, 2006 at 1:20 am #515375Unfortunately he already has a new home. I’ll be shipping him out to it quite shortly. I could make you another one, but, er…. they’re not cheap at all.
December 11, 2006 at 4:24 am #515376Wow, SPark! I like him, especially his silky-looking tail!
December 11, 2006 at 6:42 am #515377I WANT ONE :O
Could you please email me with details on cost and stuff? I have a couple of specifications I’d need to add, but nothing too extreme.
December 11, 2006 at 2:49 pm #515378Beautiful!! He looks so soft 😀
December 11, 2006 at 2:54 pm #515379You sure have a knack with fur! Beautiful color, too!
December 11, 2006 at 8:31 pm #515380So cute! And you got the eyes right!!!!I have a few fox stuffed animals and all the eyes are wrong. The tail looks great too. As for eyes are your wanting plastic or glass? I know a great place to get glass eyes, but not plastic.
December 12, 2006 at 12:45 am #515381I have sources for glass eyes already, (that’s what he’s got now!) I’m just hesitant, should I make one of these for a child rather than an adult, to have glass eyes. I mean… they’re thick, and unlikely to break, but it still just somehow doesn’t seem safe.
