Those are awesome. How big are they?
December 1, 2007 at 1:05 am #620276I’ve decided I am in love with her fin dogs…and that winged snow leopard, OMG I want that so bad! But someone already called it, darn it!

December 1, 2007 at 1:09 am #620277oh and she had a winged fox wall hanging…. 🙁
December 1, 2007 at 1:18 am #620278I LOVE that snow leopard! That is my favorite big cat!!! 😯
December 1, 2007 at 3:02 am #620279That Snow Leopard is gorgeous and I like the Reclining Fin Dog too.
December 1, 2007 at 4:19 am #620280I thought that snow leopard would go pretty quick!
eep! Sorry, I got the winged fox! 😳 He was too pretty to resist…but I’m sure she’d be happy to do another one for you if you wanted to commission her!
Sunhawk – the two new winged snakes and the winged fox are in the mail to me now. She’s also sending me the blue and gold findog as a replacement for the most recent breaks in shipping (she’s such an awesome seller – such good customer service.) and on hold I’ve got the big blue dragon and the big Kraken-looking cephlopod – SOOOO EXCITED about that one!!! 😀

December 1, 2007 at 4:33 am #620282I got my dragon today. He was broken in four places 🙁 Including a foot that broke off completely and I can’t find it, another piece that came off, and a tail that’s broken and squished the armature around, so I can’t get it to match back up to glue it, so I’m not even sure if it’s fixable.
Shredded paper is NOT, not, not, not, not good for packing truly delicate things in, even if you double box. The outer box wasn’t crushed at all, and the inner box was perfect, the dragon had broken just banging against itself, because of how the paper compacts during shipping.
I’m really sad, and a little upset too.
December 1, 2007 at 4:43 am #620283oh Spark I’m sorry to hear that 🙁 they do look very delicate and sound like it too from all the people’s comments.

Ooooo winged fox AND winged snakes!! 😀 AWESOME! I am keeping my eye out for a large winged snake, I do have two wee little ones that I got El to make into earrings for me ^_^ People stare at them and ask if they hurt to wear, which they don’t because they are pretty light LOL
omg kraken-type cephlopod! I think when she does them really big, they look just fantastic ^_^

Whoa that’s really banged up, what do the postmen do with packages these days?! @_@ I’m glad the outer box looked fine but it sounds like they turned it upside-down a few times @_@;;
Spark, if you haven’t already, please do email El and let her know about this, I’m actually really surprised it came to you in paper because last time we talked, she seemed pretty fed up with paper but maybe that dragon was one she’d had boxed from our last convention? She always has so many creatures around, I don’t know how she even keeps track!
Anyway, not only will El want to know about this so she can help you out and fix your dragon, it’s really important feedback about packing that she needs to figure out the best way to get things across the globe. Please keep in mind that El just started seriously selling her creatures online this fall (her website wasn’t up until just last Sept/Oct) and so it’s been a learning process to get used to a different set of criteria for packing, etc. But I know El definitely doesn’t want broken creatures to be an expected result from anyone buying from her!
I’m sure you two will work things out to your satisfaction ^_^
December 1, 2007 at 7:44 am #620287I’ve let her know.
December 1, 2007 at 9:17 am #620288Awwwww, I’m sorry Spark. 🙁 That sucks…and it’s SO hard to patch these guys up…at least for me it has been. I hope it works out…and I hope she figures out the shipping problems soon! I know she’s experimenting a little with the things she’s sending me…
I think the most frustrating part for me is looking for the tiny broken bits in all the paper! >_< But hopefully, the whole shredded paper thing is on its way out.
Sorry Spark. Hope she can make it up to you! 🙁

Thanks! I’ve gotten two snakes from her already, and they came through almost perfectly intact! (one had the tip of his tail broken off, but I found it and you can’t tell that it was broken now) They seem pretty compact and durable. And with the new things shes doing with shipping now, getting one of the snakes shouldn’t be a problem. At leas, I hope so…I have yet to get my second pair, so it might be too early to say!
